In willams post fight interview of the harrison fight . He was asked how did harrisons punches compare with tysons . Here is what willams had to say . "There is no comparison . You cant compare harrisons punches with tyson its not even close . Tyson hit hit me so hard that he put ten years on my career. Even though i beat tyson his power still took a lot out of me. I havent being the same fight since tyson . I can see the openings but i cant get there anymore".
There comes the humour again ha ha ha. I love this forum.
People, dont forget that Williams got a 38 year old Tyson for 3 rounds(after that, Tyson was done. That i what i mean with 3 ofcource). He got a prime Vitali for 8.
I was at that fight and I remember cringing as Tyson nailed Williams in that first round. Hard to believe Williams stayed on his feet and survived that round. What a great heavyweight fight that was.

Laughable.Vitali put 10 years on his career not Tyson.
The Tyson that came out of prison was still kinda young Tyson and he was still like a youthful fighter. But he seemed to age overnight. Once he started taking punches again the ability to absorb punishment had gone, and put years on him like Danny Williams said.
Yes, i was so sorry about that because i thought and still think he would have knocked Williams out if not this motherfu..... injury!! I think Tyson looked good in that figh and yes, he landed big bombs on Williams, much harder bombs than Harrison for example but Williams is done and seemingly cant take the punishment anymore. if not the injury, maybe Tysons carreer ended a bit defferent, who knows!
I don't think Tyson has looked good in a long time...The Tyson that fought Holyfield was at least a version of Tyson that had a chance to get back to near "prime", but he didn't go back with his old trainer. Tyson without Rooney wasn't the same: his time was off, balance wasn't there, no head movement, etc. He probably had more power coming out of prison since he was in his mid-20's, but he was very rusty, and his confidence wasn't there.
In the Williams fight, I thought he looked really slow...he fatigued fast, and his blew out his knee because of improper technique, to much weight, age which leaves you tight/inflexible, etc.

....Unless I see this in print or see a youtube clip I'm gonna have to call bullshit on this one.
you cant really say tysons power was inconsistand he is a leg puncher and he tore his Meniscus in the first round

danny was floored 5 times by vitali, but got up 5 times.
he's truly shown great heart in his career, and the only thing missing is that elusive world title.
i think vitali probably punches harder than tyson, although its hard to admit that. vitali was a good heavyweight with alot of skills
He said Tyson was more explosive but Vitali had heavier hands and hit consistently harder. Tyson with his best punch hits harder than Vitali, significantly harder, but the average punche he throws can't compare with Vitali as Tyson is nowhere near as physically strong. Tyson gets his power from speed, accuracy, and his weight. He is not a very heavy handed fighter.
he never said that you fool . if you watch his post fight interview after the vitali fight . he said to merchant that tyson hit harder but vitai was more consistent with his power and more accurate .
