Sources close to the situation have informed **********.com that undefeated world class welterweight Paul "The Punisher" Williams will return to the ring on November 4 as part of the televised undercard of Mayweather-Baldomir. Also on the telecast is IBF featherweight champion Robert Guerrero will face mandatory challenger Orlando Salido.
Is this ppv going to be good or what? Not only this ppv, but the whole nite with the other boxing fights as well!
I only talked about the bold part causee the rest was bs.
And if people forgot about santos/margarito then why do the margarito haters always mention the santos fight?
People bring up the fight that should be forgotten because both of the fighters in the fight should be forgotten. Margarito lost to Santos, isn't fighting his mandatory (who is ranked higher than Clottey), and hasn't beat ONE fighter that ANY casual fan has ever heard of and yet some guys actually believe he is all about fighting the best? Arum did a great job promoting this guy, now its up to him to go out and take advantage and so far he's not.
Do you see what im saying? You underline one Bold part of an entire paragraph and strike an argument out of a sentence that is totally insignifigant to the argument at hand. Daniel Santos vs Antonio Margarito doesnt mean shit. It was a fight that to this day, very few people remember. But thats not the point of what i said, your doing exactly as i said you were doing.
You desperately reach for something to argue about to make yourself look right when your backed into a corner, all logic doesnt get through to you. Im sorry.

that bold part tells me all you are about is paying attention to your favorites and that it, their for limiting you boxing knowlege and awarness of the sport.

Because Williams is calling out someone his own size. Both of them dont belong in the division, HOWEVER, Williams is calling out someone who matches up with him perfectly sizewise/powerwise etc. Your always telling others to "go do their homework" when you get out manuvered in an argument. You never concede to being wrong, ever. You will twist and turn an argument to no end with rarely any factual evidence other than opinion to support your claims. You just cant concede when your wrong and youll look for any way NOT to be wrong even when you are, thus dragging on arguments page after page.
You know this is the case when we have to argue about "YOU DIDINT SEE THE DANIEL SANTOS FIGHT" as if it really mattered in the boxing world.

I guess you didn't see Margaritos latest interview, go do your homwork.
Why not say the same about Williams who looks to be bigger then Margarito.

Fuck his interview. He has been talking about fighting the best for a long ass time and the best he could come up with this year is Shotgun Gomez and Joshua Clottey. I'm not believing anything coming out of this man's mouth until the contracts are signed...
If he can't beat Santos at 154, how does he expect to beat any of the current beltholders which are all better than Santos?
You havn't seen the Santos fight so you can't comment.
Why doesn't Williams fight David Estrada instead of the nobody he'll be fighting on the undercard of Mayweather/Baldomier?
Ouma said he would go to 147 if i recall. Rivera/Collazo were also trying pretty hard to get him.
As i stated earlier in the thread, the williams fight didint happen because if the fight went to purse bid and arum lost (because he obviously isnt gonna shell out big bucks for margarito) margarito/cotto fight card would be lost because of the fact that williams is backed by al haymon on HBO. Thus the williams "pricing himself out" was a heap of bullshit put out by margaritos camp. Arum might have been priced out and he wasnt going to risk it, however i dont blame arum. If you shell out big bucks for this fight and then Margarito loses, you basically lose alot more than just money, if Margarito were to lose to williams, Margarito watches all his buildup crumble. And his career back in obscurity. Where it has been, and likely will be until he matches himself with somebody LEGIT.
Margarito also wont go to 154 to fight someone his own size, which i think is why he wont fight Rivera or Wright.

I think they're trying to get Paul a little more exposure before giving him a fight and making a bigger pay day.
This is also possible, im only ruling out the "priced himself out" theory.

I can name some top guys who have challenged him: Rivera, Ouma, Wright, Collazo, Williams. When they called his name, Margarito was nowhere to be found. Shit, what is the excuse for not fighting his mandatory Paul Williams? How is Margarito going to bitch about Mayweather ducking him, yet he is going to do the same shit back to everyone that called his ass out?

Yeah, they were top 10 when the division was absolute garbage. Where are they at now? That you would consider Gomez (a fringe contender at best) and Lujan (fighting bums in his home country before fighting Margarito) fights that make a fighter legit is pretty damn desperate. The only thing Margarito really has over Williams is the win over Cintron...
who do u want him to fight if the top guys in the division at the time wouldnt fight him??
The best fighter he's faced is Daniel Santos and he lost to him. He fought Six Heads Lewis right after Mayorga had knocked him the fuck out. Aside from Cintron, the rest of his opponents have been bums...
they were in the top 10 in the division before fighting tony. do some research.
Diego did you notice how he changed the topic when he said that Gomez got his shot after beating Jantuah, When he beat Jantuah in 2001 and fought Margarito in 2006.
If Jantuah's Ko is legitimized, then BOTH of daniel santos victories over Margarito are also legitimized based on the fact that Jantuah was winning before being caught and Margarito was supposedly coming on before the fight was stopped. Therefore i can polarize the losses to Santos tenfold.
whats funny is margo gettin his ass handed 2 him in sparring , then being clowned an called out by the guy all the while Tony and his rasta shades our acting like nothin has happened
I didint care much about that event until Borges came out and confirmed it happend.
Dude...
Gomez got the Win over Jantuah in 2001
Then he fought some bums
Then he fought Margarito in 2006, 5 Years later.
Dude...
Mitchell got knocked out by L.Johnson in 1994, knocked out by Stevie Johnsont in 1994, knocked out by Tszyu in 2001, knocked out by Tszyu in 2004, knocked out by Flyod in 2005.......and here you are making a big deal about williams koing a jr. welterweight. :owned:
