i duno y do yalll hate on mexican fighters 4 no reason? lol its funny yalll find n e lil reason 2 put a mexican fighter down. dats fuked up u should respect a fighter 4 who he is and not on his ethnicity.
I find it funny when you talk and discuss about relating to fighters by race. Some of the aspects mentioned are the same things that all of us who arent white go through. To me all minorities are basically in the same game, especially if your black or latino. I think some of you simply just like the fighter based on race, because looking at JMM or Francisco Panchito Bojado, those mexican fighters fight like the average black man, and fight well too. I think some of you just need to come to grips and admit you pick fighters based on race, and that your choices have very little to do with style.
hahah they beat up on blacks ? hahaha damn you speak some funny funny words......what race has the best boxers of all time ? since we gonna get into this
I could go the other way and say blacks beat up on Mexicans too. Thats just life in the lower ranks. If you are going to ask what race has the best fighters of all time its black folks. Latino's took a while to get into the fray. Most of their all time greats came after the 1950's unless you include Itallians as Latino's then its a push.
This thread is a joke. I havn't been at this sight for a long time or anything, but from what I have seen, everybody hates on everybody. Nobody singles out any ethnic groups. Mexican boxers bring alot to the ring, and most of them are fun to watch. But just because sombody might not like a paticular Mexican boxer, doesn't mean they hate the whole country.

its funny when i only like Afrikan fighters ya'll call me racist for saying it but when he says that mexicans only like mexican fighters its call "love for mexico"......just like when a Afrikan boxer is sure of himself and speaks his mind journalist hate them call them cocky or over confidente ex. Floyd mayweather but when mexicans do it its called pride when whites do it its called for the love of the sport or some shit................
but hey this is a great thread whoever made it i give you props...........
I think the main reasons people dont like Mexican boxers are
1 They cant be the "white hope"
2 Blacks and Latino's dont like them cause they beat up on Blacks and Latinos
3 The media only markets the big names.
4 They rarely reach out to other ethnic groups because they have so much love from Mexico.
I thinking mexican fans are the best fans of boxing they always support there fighters. I know people might not agree with me but most of the mexican figters I watch look the same to me besides DLH so maybe thats why some people hate on them
On thread...Mexican women are hot...so I love Mexican...
Are Tacos and Nachos from Mexico? I love those Mexican shit food.
PEACE on every motherfucking Mexican here...peace brothers...
I think every fight a fighter would like to KO who he is fighting unless you want to go to the scorecards. Muhammed Ali and Tyson are icons in boxing, I dont know what more do you want. I enjoy watching PR's cause I relate to them to, jus how you explained it. I cant really relate to Mexicans or white fighters since they seem to be polar oppisites unless hes a real likeable person. Bernard hasnt really defended his title, you could only bring up three fighters worth mentioning in his record, and personnaly I wuld put James Toney at number one on my pound for pound list.
QUICK! GIVE THIS CROCODILE SHIT A FIRST AID! HE'S ON A GODZHAND OVERDOSE...
well yes my team is all Afrikan
Because thats who i relate to Toney is the reason i started boxing when i'm in them he is the reason i train hard cause he is a small guy who doesn't back down from anyone and i relate to that everyday i'm watching my Toney fight collection i can tell you his every move and at times when i'm sparring i try to mimic him (my trainer yells at me at times cause of it).....Byrd is always fighting Giants and in my gym there is nobody my height around my weight everybody is 6'3-6'5 and when i do get to spar those are the guys i spar with so thats how i relate to Byrd knowing that i'ma have to outlast these guys and put punches together.....and my Prospect Ehinomen aka Hino well he is a cruiserweight and i like the way he talks and fights and he is just starting out and not to many people know about him....i was mad when i saw him in the magazine as a prospect cause that meant he would have more fans
but yeah i'm sure alot of people/fans are fans of fighters of there own race mostly cause they can relate to them
i'm not saying i like only Afrikan fighters i like Ebo Elder(i'm still mad at courtney burton for gettin knocked out....i think ebo would of killed Diaz) i like Kermit Cintron and i like Fernando Vargas.......but i don't know to much about these guys are there backgrounds to say i'm a fan and i don't wanna be a bandwagon jumper when i find out more about these guys to call myself a fan then i will but until then i will stick to the guys i know about and who i read articles own
Just out of curiosity, why is everyone on your Team Truth, African American? I think in a sense a lot of boxing fans do tend to go for a fighter from thier country or ethnicity.
I don't think Mexican fighters have any more illcontent towards them than any other race. I think it might seem like Mexicans take more flack at times because there is a large handful of famous ones currently boxing, so when discussing the lower weight classes you're bound to mention a number of them.... so it could simply be the current ratio and odds balancing out.
I'd also say that the Mexicans call it upon themselves. Maybe not personally, but definately their fans do. THey call it out from the hills to support simply the ethnicity of the figher, regardless of skill. This can rub some fans the wrong way since nationalism can get people in trouble at times it seems.
Personally, I enjoy watching a fighter so long as he's good. No other qualifications are needed for me to be ammused or entertained. Although I wouldn't lie, I wouldn't mind seeing a white american do well, since it has been a while.
I don't think that everyone hates Mexican fighters, I think that it is a little ill-content, mixed with respect. Their lineage is strong, and that doesn't sit well with some of the gringos and jacks, so they find a way to bash them as often as possible, but they love to watch them fight.
finally someone posted what was on my mind.

Team Truth is the shit even though I hate Roy.
Team Truth is just a list of my favorite fighters that I have watched fight. They are the fighters that I support, I will admit I should pay attention to other fighters that arn't on that list more. Sometimes I get stuck on just watching my favorites...
