The first time around, former two-division world champion Ricardo "El Matador" Mayorga (0-3-1 in Mixed Martial Arts) lost a three round split decision to Sergio "Checo" Ortiz (2-1) in a Mixed Martial Arts encounter in San Jose, Costa Rica on October 13. On Saturday night they had a rematch in Mannagua, Nicaragua. During the first round, Mayorga went after Ortiz and threw bundles of punches while looking to land something big. In the second round, Ortiz scored a takedown early and consistently landed elbows on Mayorga, who was on his back. Finally towards the end of the second, Ortiz caught Mayorga in an armbar forcing the submission.
Former Boxing World Champion Ricardo Mayorga will once again return to the MMA Cage as the main event for WSOF: Central America. As a pro MMA fighter Mayorga has yet to get a notch in the win column. Mayorga (0-2 1NC) originally won his pro MMA debut but it was overturned by the commission and he served a short suspension due to an illegal knee to the back of his opponent Wesley Tiffer (0-1 1NC).

Matais would throw multiple punches before going back to the outside and moving around the ring. As both men became increasingly tired in the 2nd round a slugfest emerged. Tsalla tried to bring the fight on the inside but Maltais would unleash powerful combinations while Tsalla seemed limited to throwing a punch or two at a time. In the 3rd, the action started to slow as both men tired but Maltais land the more significant power shots throughout the round. Tsalla had the best round of the night in the 4th and final round. He took advantage of the tired Maltais by landing a punch or two at a time and moving around the ring not giving Maltais a stationary target.
Kassim Ouma vs Rahman Yusubov - 6 Rounds Junior Middleweight - In the first two rounds the former champion Ouma was working great from the outside but would be hit occasionally by Yusubov when he allowed him to get in the inside. Ouma continued to box from the outside land solid combinations throughout the rounds. From time to time Yusubov was able to land solid shots on Ouma. While Ouma still showed speed and accuracy from the past his ability to avoid a punch seemed to slow down as Yusubov was able to land solid shots on Ouma. Yusubov was also not the quickest puncher which raises concerns for the future about Ouma's defense. Though offensively Ouma looked great with his speed, accuracy, and combinations and the judges agreed. After the final bell, the judge's scorecards read 59-55 across the board for you winner, via unanimous decision, Kasim "The Dream" Ouma. With the "w", Kasim Ouma jumps to (28-8-1) while Yusubov falters to (9-13).
