Bobby "Celtic Warrior" Gunn will be facing one of the toughest tests of his storied career this Wednesday night at the Sands Casino in Bethlehem, PA when he takes on Glen "The Road Warrior" Johnson.  The fight as well as the undercard will be LIVE around the WORLD on GFL.tv!

Gunn was originally slated to face Roy Jones Jr. but Jones walked away from the fight and plans to fight December 21st in Russia instead.  Boxingscene.com had the chance to catch up with Bobby Gunn to discuss his fight with Johnson, Roy Jones pulling out and more.  Here is what Bobby Gunn had to say:

Boxingscene.com:  How is everything going Bobby?

Bobby Gunn:  Everything is great!  You don't have to sell this one.  It sells itself.  If you can make it to to the Casino (Sands Casino in Bethlehem, PA) then come out if not watch it on Gofightlive.tv.  This is going to be the Cruiserweight "Fight of the Year".  Styles make fights and to be honest with you I was preparing for a different fighter in Roy Jones Jr.  I've been training for 5 months so when Glen Johnson stepped to the plate a few weeks ago I was over the moon because I am still fighting an all time great.

It is all about fighting for legacy.  The titles are fine but they don't need more in boxing.  It is the man that makes the title.  I am fighting this man for the ultimate title.  Love me or hate me it's going to be a great fight.

Boxingscene.com:  Was it tough in training camp when you had to train for a different style after Glen replaced Roy?

Bobby Gunn:  It was more of a personal let down.  I put a lot of weight into the fellow taking this fight (Roy Jones).  He gave me his word and he didn't come through.  Here is the bottom line.  when the bell rings every plan that you train for can go out the door.  It is a fight.  It doesn't really make a difference in the style change.  It is going to be a dog fight.  Styles make fights and if anything  we are two fighters looking to fight.  You don't have to come looking for us.  I think it is going to be a better fight for the fans and boxing world.

Boxingscene.com:  What do you think about Roy Jones Jr taking your "Winner takes all" idea to Russia for that fight?

Bobby Gunn:  Bottom line is that I threw that out and he never came through with the challenge.  If your a proper fighting man you better back it up because I am coming to fight.  I am not one of those guys making youtube video and making a fool out of myself.  My fights speak for itself.  I have fought the best out there and if you know me I come to fight.  Whatever he is doing I wish him the best and I hope he wins his fight.  If it was in the streets I would have went through him quickly and if it was in the ring I would have knocked him out.

Boxingscene.com:  With victory over Johnson on Wednesday, is the Roy Jones fight still a fight you are looking for?

Bobby Gunn:  It was a fight that I wanted but this fight is a lot better for the fans.  This fight is going to go through the roof.  No one is going to walk away from this fight disappointed.

Boxingscene.com:  What can you tell us about your opponent Glen Johnson?

Bobby Gunn:  I can tell you that he is great.  He has fought everybody.  Most of his loses are controversial.  At his worst he is still in there with the best.  I wish him the best and I hope God keeps us both safe.  He is a great man.  I spoke to him and shook his hand.  Nice fellow he is.

Boxingscene.com:  The last time he was stopped was against a local guy named Bernard Hopkins.  Do you think a local guy can do it again?

Bobby Gunn:  Here is the bottom line.  Anything can happen.  He isn't fighting a light heavyweight.  He is fighting an actual bigger guy.  I am not a Light Heavyweight or a Super Middleweight.  At the end of the day I am a cruiserweight fighter.  It is going to be a good fight.  He works out with Heavyweight fighters and he wouldn't be here if he didn't think he could do it so it's going to be a good fight.

Boxingscene.com:  In retrospect was moving up to heavyweight to fight James Toney the wrong decision weight wise?

Bobby Gunn:  He is great.  I love James Toney.  I prayed with him and his wife at the airport.  I had a misfortune and hurt my hand going into that fight.  The best man won and I tip my hat to him.  Yes.  I would never go to heavyweight again that is not my league.  I am not a Light Heavyweight either.  I am a legit Cruiserweight.  I should have stayed here but i am back here now so I am going to make the best of it.

Boxingscene.com:  Was your hand broken going into the fight with Toney?

Bobby Gunn:  I had to get clearance today for it.  Yes I had fractured my hand.  I had to send them the info from my doctor saying I am cleared now.  I am 100% so no excuses from me.

Boxingscene.com:  What can fans watching in attendance at the Sands Casino or watching LIVE around the WORLD on GFL.tv expect from you tomorrow night?

Bobby Gunn:  Don't bring a knife to a Gun fight.  It's going to be a great fight.  I am going to have both guns blazing and will be going for a hard one.  The bottom line is I am hard as rock.  I will be a nice guy and talk to you but if you want to fight in the street we will fight in the street..  That's it.  I am a man and that's how I do it.
