Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach is furious with some of the post-fight happenings last Saturday night at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Amir Khan, trained by Virgil Hunter, moved up to a catch-weight of 155-pounds to challenge WBC middleweight world champion Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez.

Khan did very well for the first five rounds, but he was then knocked out in the sixth round by a vicious right hand that sent him down cold on the mat.

Immediately following the fight, Hunter publicly called on Canelo to step up and fight his mandatory challenger, WBA/IBO/WBO middleweight king Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin.

Roach, who used to train Khan for several years until Hunter took over in 2012, lashed out at Hunter's comments. He feels that it was inappropriate and none of Hunter's business because he's not involved with Canelo or Golovkin.

"What I was most embarrassed about.....why was his trainer calling out Triple G for the other guy. Is he looking for a job on the other side or something? Help your guy off the floor for Christ's sake. I mean c'mon. It's ridiculous. I think it was wrong. The fighter [Canelo] can do it of course and his trainer can do it. But this guy is in a different camp. What is it his business? I just don't see it," Roach told BoxingScene.com.
