Culiacán, Sin - Welterweight contender Omar Chavez, the younger brother of undefeated Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., said a fight between his older brother and Mexican rival Saul "Canelo" Alvarez would be "good for the sport of boxing" and "good for both boxers financially" and "it's the fight that everyone in Mexico wants."

Omar expects his brother to win this contest by knockout in a very exciting battle. Julio is the WBC champion at 160, while Alvarez is the champion at 154. Omar suggests a catch-weight of 158 to make the fight happen.

Omar said - "Julio does want that fight. Julio would win. He would knock him out, but it would be a very good fight. Julio is stronger and throws a lot of punches, but Canelo Alvarez is a very good fighter. Julio is preparing to fight at 160 pounds, but maybe [can fight Alvarez] at 158, they can agree on a catch-weight to please the public."
