British superstar Amir Khan (31-3, 19KOs) is a big underdog in his upcoming fight with WBC middleweight champion Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez (46-1-1, 32KOs).

Khan will move up by eight pounds to face Canelo at a catch-weight of 155-pounds. Their fight is scheduled for May 7th from the brand new T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

When the fight was first announced, everyone in the industry was shocked. The difference in weight made it a very unexpected fight.

Khan is viewed as the much smaller man in the fight. Canelo is known to rehdyrate to a light heavyweight level on the night of the fight.

Khan feels the size difference is being overblown. He recently took part on a three city promotional tour with Canelo. The two fighters sized each other up and Khan feels Canelo now realizes that he's in for a real fight after the two of them went face to face for the first time.

“For him to see me, standing next to me, he was thinking, ‘Wait, Amir Khan isn’t that small – I’ve got my hands full here’. Maybe he was thinking it was an easy fight against a smaller guy. Now, he can see that’s not the case," Khan said.

Khan plans to weigh-in in around the contracted limit, but he will rehydrate to about 165. He feels Canelo will be around the same fight weight as well, but most would expect the Mexican superstar to be over 170-pounds as he's been in recent fights. Khan claims to have been struggling to great lengths to make the welterweight limit of 147-pounds.

“I used to go down two weights to make fights, but I will be in the ring at about 165-pounds and that is what he claims he will weigh on the night, so where is the size difference?," Khan said.
