Former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye has promised a knockout ending on July 14th at at Upton Park. He goes head to head with his British rival, Dereck Chisora. In a February press conference in Germany, they traded punches before a shocked crowd of observers. Haye even fought Chisora's trainer Don Charles and broke the trainer's jaw with one of his signature "Hayemakers."
Now he promises to punish Chisora's chin with the same power punches. Chisora's chin has a good reputation, but Haye says - not so fast - because he never tasted the power of a "Hayemaker." Both fighters are going to trade shots early, according to their interviews, but many experts have advised Haye to avoid trading power shots with Chisora. If Haye sticks to boxing, most are predicting an easy decision win.
“Charles needed his jaw wired up but there’s only one person I will be hitting on the night and that’s Chisora. People are saying Chisora has a great chin but everyone should wait until he gets smacked by one of my big ‘Hayemakers’ before they pass judgement. If anyone thinks this fight’s going the distance they better think again. There’s one winner and it ain’t gonna be Chisora,” Haye told The Sun.
