European welterweight champion Matthew Hatton (41-4, 16KOs) is feeling very good about his fight with Mexican star Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (35-0, 26KOs). Hatton has been looking for a crack at Alvarez for a long time. This Saturday he gets his shot at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. Hatton is not bothered by the catch-weight of 150-pounds. The weight allows the the two boxers to fight for the vacant WBC junior middleweight title.

"I knew this fight has been coming for some time.  I'm not going to let a few pounds get in the way of a fantastic opportunity for me. Like I said before, I know it's a hard, tough fight, but there's no doubt in my mind that I will be victorious in this fight," Hatton said.

The British boxer is heading to hostile ground. Hatton is used to having the support of his Manchester fans, but this time he's going to be mobbed by an army of Mexicans who are going to cheer every single move by Alvarez.

"I'm mentally a strong fighter, so no, even though, like I said, Saúl's going to have the bulk of the support, but like I say, it will be just me and him going to be in the ring on the night.  It's going to be a fantastic fight. I'm just going to come over there.  I'm going to give it 110%, like I do for all my fights.  I'm confident I'm going to win.  The fans are going to be in for a spectacular fight," Hatton said. 

"I think both me and Saúl are versatile fighters.  We can both box, but I think we will come forward and to meet in the middle of the ring and to fight.  So, I'm expecting fireworks in this fight.  The fans, obviously, are going to be behind Saúl, but I think they will appreciate what I bring to the ring, the determination, the desire.  I'm going to put on one hell of a show.  I hope the people will respect that.  I'm sure they will."
