British boxer Dereck Chisora (15-03, 9KOs) believes a battle with WBA "regular" champion Alexander Povetkin (24-0, 16KOs) would be a very tough fight.
Chisora has been named as a possible opponent for Povetkin in the fall.
The controversial boxer recently lost his license to box. The British Boxing Board of Control punished the fighter for his wild conduct during the Vitali Klitschko bout in February.
Chisora has filed an appeal, but doesn't know how long a final ruling will take. The British fighter is still capable of obtaining a license to box in any other country.
"We filed an appeal in the UK and now we are waiting for a decision from the commission. I don't know how long it will take...maybe a month, maybe two...I can't really say," Chisora told Championat.
Povetkin returns on July 14th against former two-time champion Hasim Rahman.
"Alexander Povetkin is a capable fighter. If we agree to a fight, it will be a very hard fight between two equal athletes," Chisora said.
