WBA/WBA junior middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (42-0-1, 30KOs) is not going to make the same mistake that others have made against Floyd Mayweather Jr. (44-0, 26KOs). When September 14th comes around, at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Canelo is not going to target the head of Mayweather and chase a knockout that never comes by trying to land a shot to the chin. Instead the 22-year-old boxer will target the body to break Mayweather down, and then place his shots upstairs.

"Mayweather is fast, but he only throws one or two punches and then moves. He has a good defense, but we are going to have a great strategy to win. I promise that I will win. Everyone wants to rip his head off from the first round on, but no one ever achieves that. We must begin by hitting the body and then going up to the head. The key is to stay calm," Canelo said. "I have to take responsibility, because I know that a lot of people are going to rely on me and I want to make them happy by getting a win that day."

Canelo's trainer and manager, Chepo Reynoso, agrees with his fighter.

"Everybody knows about the speed of Floyd's legs, but I think the best way for Saul to attack him is to go to the body and not trying to rip his head off, as many others did when they were in front of him."
