Agit Kabayel vs. Otto Wallin on February 3rd or 23rd in Germany

By Per Ake Persson

EBU heavyweight champ Agit Kabayel, 21-2 (including the Bigger is Better tournament fights), will defend the title against mandatory challenger Otto Wallin, 20-0, from Sweden, on February 3 or 23 in Germany with SES promoting.

There was purse bids set for tomorrow but the parties came to an agreement today.

Wallin is now a freelancer but was previously with Team Sauerland. His last fight was in April when he beat Adrian Granat and won the vacant EU title.

German super middleweight Stefan Haertel is sidelined with illness and has pulled out of the fight against EBU champ and stablemate at SES Robin Krasniqi November 17 in Dessau. Instead Spaniard Ronny Landaeta, 16-0 and reigning EU champ, have stepped in as a substitute.

WBA # 1 super welterweight Michel Soro, 20-2, takes on Greg Vendetti, 20-2-1, December 8 at Palais des Sports Marcel Cerdan in Levallois Perret (France). The show is put together by Sebastien Acaries and his Unievent and also feature super middle weight Louis Toutin, 12-0, hard punching light heavyweight Mickael Diallo, 17-0-2 and super welterweight Mohamed Rabii, 7-0.

Danish super middleweight Patrick Nielsen has received an offer from promoter Mogens Palle about taking on Dmitri Chudinov over eight rounds on November 24 in Copenhagen.

Nielsen is reportedly in good shape and training for a possible rematch against Arthur Abraham. Chudinov was left without an opponent when Jeppe Morell pulled out.

Nice, very solid fight that could go either way. I could see Wallin out boxing him, only to gas and get KO'd by Kabayel late

Wallin beats him (barring a robbery in germany) very skilled and slick boxer, albeit without a lot of power...
