My buddies do not. 95% of cops live in cities they do not patrol for that very reason.

Well the 3 I know live in a city right next door to the city they work for. Some maybe 15 Miles away. You should know how close the cities are in the Sac area.

Besides I run into people I went to HS with that live 100 miles away.
My point is it can happen. It's like owning a CCW odds are nothing will ever happen. But that one time it does you better be ready.

You are correct. Virtually all do. In case. Like I wrote, news stories all the time have off-duty cops using a gun when they witness a crime or are victimized themselves. They feel naked without it.
