That was sarcasm; the entire poem is from the "perspective" of "the other side." In other words, the aim was precisely to expose flawed logic/information toward issues.

Also, while inspiration is taken from many events, there's no strict storytelling, in a way to highlight that same flawed logic/information, so no one should expect coherence as to any single incident which you may be reminded of.

Everything, from word choice all the way to the flow, is done with a purpose in mind.

So far, the feedback from everyone has been excellent. It's way better than anything I could've imagined.

These guys are literally telling me that my word choice is too "Black," and a couple of them reacted so vehemently to the poem that they're hoping I kill myself.

That feels like a standing ovation, in my book.
