⚡Footage of the failed counterattack of the Ukrainian armed formations on the positions of the Russian Armed Forces in the Zaporozhye region. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation gives the details of the battle: ▪️The Kiev regime made an attempt to attack units of the Russian Armed Forces with the forces of two Ukrainian mechanized battalions on tanks and infantry fighting vehicles on May 14; ▪️The advancing of enemy armored vehicles and preparations for the attack were discovered by UAV crews and technical intelligence equipment of the Russian formation; ▪️The enemy’s armored vehicles were hit by drones and artillery, after which the enemy’s attack was repulsed by oncoming fire from tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, as well as modern anti-tank weapons; The idea of the Kyiv authorities turned out to be a hopeless adventure, during which 26 Ukrainian tanks and 12 infantry fighting vehicles were destroyed. The irretrievable losses of the enemy in manpower amounted to about 100

Do you think Reagan would have let it happen unpunished?

Whatever. It seems and seemed clear to many, that the west let Russia take crimea far to easy with only soft sanctions as a consequence. Merkel and Obama was on the same page. Many disagreed. Same for Iran nuclear deal. That was also a big mistake and cancelling that was probably the best thing in foreign policy Trump ever did.

I dont know what Reagan would have done but its a completely different era so its hard to compare. Sounds like its damned if you and damned if you dont.

            For example...

Obama wanted to normalize relations with Russia. The right killed him for it. Said Russia was as dangerous as ever.

Trump wanted to normalized relations with Russia. The left killed him for it. Said Russia was as dangerous as ever.

Thats why I favor alliances like NATO. It forces nations to rely on diplomacy and makes war the absolute last resort.

Russians retreated from Kharkiv, the second biggest city in Ukraine.

Just a few days ago they got anhilitated while trying to cross a river, lost at least one battalion which consist of 1000 troops. 1000 soldiers dead within minutes.

According to the experts Russians have lost up to 20% of its combat power. That is a huge number.

Ukrainians are effectively counterattacking them in Donbas which, after Ruskies regrouped, was supposed to be them fighting 'for real'.

It's getting so bad for them that even their state TV and popular military bloggers have started saying out loud that they're getting their asses kicked.

Not to mention, a lot of Russian weapons consists of Western components which they are not getting obviously because of the sanctions

Don't get me wrong, Ukraine's losses are significant too, but they are getting massive amounts of weapons from the West which will be combat ready around summer which when Ukraine will attempt to get back Donbas and Crimea.

Biden seems to be determined to finish Russia off. He signed lend lease which was one of the deciding factors of Germany defeat during WW2 when Roosevelt signed lend-lease as well.

Not to mention Ukrainians are still as determined as they were on day 1.

Russia finally got Mariupol after 3 months. Guess that's a W for them.

Other than that, it's not looking good for Russia. The only way for Russia to make Ukraine surrender is drop a tactical nuke, which very unlikely. But even then, I'm not sure they would surrender.

The weapons they are getting now.

They have to be set up, adjusted and the soldiers trained to use them.

People seem to think that if weapons get delivered to Ukraine on Monday, they can be used on battlefield on Tuesday. It doesn't work like that.

Man I hope this is true for the Ukrainians.

Have to bog down the Russians and make it a long one.
