muscle is hard as hell to put on for most people.

    i had a a basic 3 meals a day and 2 whey shakes.

i did compound workouts for 3 days a week and 2 days cardio.

i cut carbs out at 6pm and my last meal is chicken with brocolli and some fruits with a glass of juice.

then right before bed ill take universal real gains weight gainer mixed with water.
    Okay, let's do some experimenting.

Why don't you maintain your level of training but eat more frequently during the day. Drop all protein supplements for the next 12 weeks.

I bet you will still get good gains as long as you train hard, rest and recuperate enough, and ingest several well-balanced highly nutritious meals a day.

After 12 weeks, post your results in this thread, but you have to be honest with it.

Most of the guys who take supplements improve their performance because they train harder when taking supplements, so much of the improvement in athletic performance is due to the inputted hard work and not really on the protein drink.
Because they're taking supplements, they train harder? Or those two things are just usually concurrent? Because the latter isn't a placebo effect at all.

TIYO PAENG is clearly lost when is comes to this issue. Certain supplements are proven to improve athletic performance. Taking them can only be a positive as oppose to not taking them. Even if you create an amazing diet, and somehow find the time to cook it all, as an athlete you would still benefit from supplementation. And the bottom line is 99% of people cannot follow a "perfect diet", and thus supplementation is VERY useful. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sure. Whey protein or caseinate protein, Glutamine, very helpful. Creatine may be helpful for boxing, definately is for lifting, has helped me with AMATEUR boxing. Multivitamin, helpful. Fish oil, helpful. Nitric Oxide boosters are unnecessary, but if it helps you get ur ass in the gym then you have a decision to make but I wouldn't recommend using it.
