That turmeric stuff doesn't hit well with my taste buds or I'd be using that.
    Panda, there's a problem.

The problem is that powdered ginger from China and powdered turmeric from India, might have a little something you don't want, like lead. When I first started using it the results I got were great and I was thinking that using natural products like Ginger and Turmeric was totally safe and a hell of a lot better than the 600 to 800 mg of Ibuprofen a day I was taking. Maybe..but I was using a lot (tablespoon of Ginger, Teaspoon of turmeric twice daily) so even if the lead problem isn't as bad with the higher quality organic products I buy, I can't be sure. So I've cut way back on the powder.

Currently I'm back to using the fresh organic ginger root from Peru, which as you have probably noticed, requires a lot more effort. I shred about 1-3/4 pounds a week and drink it in the evenings. I take a dose of the AKG in the mornings. first thing on an empty stomach, so far so good.

I'm still looking for turmeric and ginger powders that are proven to be free of lead but no luck yet.

Addendum: came across this today. Apparently at least some of the lead contamination of turmeric is not incidental but intentionally added to enhance the color.

How many people on PEDS are actually jacked or lean... they are mostly overweight with little muscle!

I've no personal knowledge myself but what do you base that on?

Anyway, according to the published test data, AKG isn't a PED in the traditional sense unless you consider being able to work out without so much muscle and joint soreness a performance enhancement. Which in my old age, I definitely do.
