Is doing 100s of sit ups another example of moronic backwards boxing training?

Thanks rock I respect your view, sounds dead right because it allows you to brace better.

Strength and size go hand in hand very easily if you want it to and it helps with teh shock absorption, so I still dont see why we dont see more Tyson like necks, surely optimal is best?.

On top of that I see very few strong necks, ive never see many big weights lifted in neck exercises, in all the videos ive seen they do small weights high reps which is pointless. Even mayweather does this

How do abs help power because they dont add to it directly. Testing you here rock!

Abs contract isometrically alot during a fight, thats it, you dont need the type of endurance that a load of concentric sit ups give you, also the tensing abs isometrically when hit isnt the same as working a muscle over and over concentrically, its alot easier, you can tense your abs a 100 times and it isnt that hard nor does it take much training.

Your argument is inane and so I will no longer entertain you.

***** you are one annoying ****er!

All your posts you ask some ****** questions and when someone gives you advice you instantly deny it and arrogantly answer it.
If you already made up your mind and are not open minded about this topic why the fck are you asking it.

        So again you are wrong.

Also it shows the madness and ******ity of the boxing world in that most boxers have large chests or biceps but most dont have big developed necks.

The boxing world is ***** ******.

If it were smart nearly every boxer would have thick strong developed neck muscles.
People have become world champions using the tried and true traditional boxing training. That is proof that those methods are more than good enough to do the job.

Instead of spending so much time arguing about what the perfect scientific routine is you would be better off just picking one and putting some blood, sweat, and tears into it. Hard work and dedication are the real magic ingredient.

Let's see some actual real world results. Not empty theories.
I used to do so many push ups. After a few months all they gave me were back and feet pain along with a little gain. Then i saw Pac's ab routine and adopted it, and since then been using it, it's been 2 years maybe. When it comes to abdominal excersices im better than really most of other guys thanks to this method. Also it builds neck muscle since your head is always up and resisting to gravity.

your abs are backing the shots up. your fist lands, but what if your stomach wasn't there. You'd just be slapping with nothing behind it driving through. your abs count big time if you drive through, your abs are really whats pushing through.

If you are throwing your punches correctly, the transfer of power from the ground has to transfer through your core (abs, lats, spinal erector, etc.)

This means your core is being utilized during a punch. 99% of abdominal exercises involve the rest of the core. You know that twisting motion you should be implementing on a punch? Yeah, that activates your core whether you notice or not.

Think of when you supinate your hand/wrist your bicep contracts? You don't notice, but it's happening. Almost the same concept.

                      Its moronic and ignorant.

The abs are overwhelming made up of fast twitch fiber with one of the highest ratios of fast to slow twitch in the body. Think about it. The only thing there to protect your midsection is your abs. There is no bone. The muscles have to be able to reach maximum tension rapidly. Slow twitch fibers are not the fibers for that job.

Like all fast twitch fibers the muscles in the abs respond best to weighted rapid exercise. 100s of situps, near 0 resistance, wont do what one set of weighted crunches or a roman chair can do.
