if you want to punch harder you better off with bigger legs, i know it sounds funny but the better your legs can plant into the ground and the more technique you use, your more likley to get a k.o punch.
if you just want to be stronger, do elevated pushups, like put your feet on a wall so they are higher than your hands on the floor!
and chin ups with your legs just dangling!
Kinda funny... you tell him to work on his legs, and then show him two upper body excercises...
i would say add some fat and turn it to muscle, maybe try a substance like kreatean, not sure how good it works or any side effects but lots of people i know use it for weight gain.
Fat is fat and muscle is muscle, you cannot turn fat into muscle or mucle to fat. You can burn fat, and add muscle, or lose muscle and gain fat, but one doesn't turn into the other. Please don't advise anyone else to do things that will only harm their performance and training in the long run.
if you read my post i gave him 2 options! punch power or strenth!
Ooh, now it makes sense! Punching power is all legs, and strength is pushups and pullups. Right. I'll give you a little hint as to PART of what's wrong with your "advice"; you have to define what type of strength you're talking about, when you say to do pushups for strength. Can you do that? Tell us what kind of strength pushups will do for you.
Like bigdozer said to someone else: If you don't know what you're talking about, Don't give out information that results in people doing wrong things based on wrong assumptions on what they're working on, and why.
eat hell of a lot of meat when training on the wieghts, dont forget salad.
There you go again man! You need a balanced diet regardless or what you physical edeavours are. Too much meat is not good for you, and depending on the salad, romaine or iceburg, one actually has nutritional value and one doesn't. Do you know which one? I advise people on these boards who take advice from others to do research on the advice you hear, for your own health and safety.

Fat is essential for body functions and is the most abundant source of energy in the entire body. Fat is not muscle and cannot under any circumstance be turned into muscle. How hard is this to understand? Muscle is muscle and cannot under any circumstance be turned into fat. How hard is this to understand? Good fats help regulate LDL's(low density lipoproteins) which is bad cholesterol, and increase HDL's(hig density lipoproteins). LDL are responsible for athrosclorosis a.k.a heart disease. Ever heard of any of this? Again Fat is fat, you can try to make it sound right by trying to mention unsaturated fats polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats as opposed to saturated fats, but wrong ain't right. Amino acids the building blocks of protien builds muscles along with insulin, testosterone, and human growth hormone. I said it once before and I'll say it again do not take the advice of anyone on this board without thoroughly checking it first. For your own safety and health, please don't follow some of this crap blindly.
