Very similar to whiplash. It's a common injury for fighters as is the lingering pain directly between the shoulder blades that never goes away............Rockin'
The TS has had this from one shot. If the single shot was hard enough to tear ligaments completely I'm sure he would have been more than a little dazed.

what can anybody say? The kid says he put the gloves on with somebody that he shouldn't have and got his bell rung. 4 days later his bell is still ringing and the best that he could come up with during this life threatening time is to ask the internet?

Headaches and boxing are like grass stains and football, there is no easy way to put that. There were nights that I would take 5 or 6 Tylenol caplets just to get to sleep. Laying there in excrutiating pain; it hurts to breathe in so you hold your breath and it soothes. In a short time holding your breath causes the pain to take over as you breath in deeply for air....... and more pain.

the intitial shock as the light takes over your vision, you swear that you can feel the epicenter of your mind as the lights go away and the pain emerges. The shots that are landed after only compounding the discomfort that eventualy transcends in to numbness as the adrenaline takes over.

either you fight on or you don't, every man has his choice.......Rockin'

ANYWAYS. It's the 5th day and I'm feeling slightly better. Which is funny because yesterday was the worst day of the 4. I ordered food today and kind of had a pause but otherwise I'm feeling a bit better.

man you sound like you are proud of this?? Any man can go take a beating, I'm a student I don't want brain damage. I like boxing and have boxed for 4 years, I've never been really hurt up until now, I've even been hit by the same guy on other occasions but this time he really got me.

The problem is, I've known him since high-school and he wasn't always that big, we used to spar all the time ( he started boxing before I did). He was only 5'10 back then. I was around the same size as now. He still thinks it's like old times.

I'm not neccesarily proud of it but it is what it is. When you get up to throwing fists with world class fighters things happen if you step up enough times.

you've been boxing for 4 years and how many sanctioned bouts have you had? ...........Rockin'

I wasn't bragging about it. I never had any sanctioned bouts. I only said that because you act like it's my first time being hit. I've sparred with enough good boxers. Boxing to me is just my past time! Boxing is pretty big up here in this part of Canada because Lennox Lewis started boxing in my city and went to my high school.

I've sparred with both Vanderpool brothers (you might remember syd from his fight with Hopkins, and his loss to Lacy (he was winning that fight too).

The dude that popped me with a concussion frequently ****s with Denton Daley a top Canadian prospect, He also broke the nose of last years ringside winner at LHW, and slapped him around as well.

I might not have any big stories like you do but this isn't "my first time getting hit" and me complaining about it. All I'm trying to say.

I fought in Ontario a bunch of times.

                    my stories aren't even big.

if you've been boxing for 4 years then wtf are you doing on here complaining that you have a headache. You know the same as I do that the symptoms that you described in your original were obviously the signs of a cuncusion.

you've been boxing for 4 years and have yet to have a bout, sounds like you just play with it or if I look deeper I would say that you're full of ****............Rockin'
