  • Stopping the feeling of hunger?

Ok well i'm a gorge eater, i eat lots of **** like chocolate and cakes and stuff like that. I really took the p1ss over the xmas holidays and as you can imagine i have put on quite a bit of weight. I'm about 205-210 lbs, i'm not obese or anything but i am starting to notice a bulge in my stomach. My ideal weight is about 185-190 lbs i think.

I started a diet, well not a diet per se, but just being more sensible with my eating. More nutritious meals and less junk.

Problem i'm having is i always feel hungry. Like today i eat a tuna steak and some salad for lunch and it's not filled me up at all. I snack on some fruit and peanuts but it don't help.

Will my body get used to the lower calorie intake? Is there anything i can do to stop the hunger?

try chewing some gum, i remember a teacher once telling me how it fools your body into thinking your eating and thus it should suppress hunger for awhile longer

no guarantees though, just what i heard

Drink boat loads of water its good for u in many ways but also helps stop your hunger

After a few weeks of struggling to keep your eating down you should find u are less and less hungry, it gets easier

Exactly what I was going to write. When you are hungry drink a pint of water / low sugar squash. Drink it in one sitting and walk off with another pint to sip on and it should help.
Your body will adapt in a few weeks and you should be OK again. Eat whole grain foods and avoid sugars and that will also help the cravings and hunger.

          Breakfast is key.

Eggs will keep your stomach feeling full.. Try 3 egg whites and a whole egg mixed with some veggies, some whole wheat toast and some turkey bacon... delicious healthy breakfast.

Around 300 calories, and 35-45 grams of protein.

Eat it as soon as you wake up, you won't be so hungry for lunch.

I tend to drink a pint of water just before each meal.

            Seems to work.

I'm pretty meticulous when it comes to dieting and eating healthy.

This is my eating plan right now (had it saved on my computer)

              9:30-10:30am
5 egg whites and 1 whole egg
              3 slices turkey bacon
              1 slice whole wheat toast
              1/4 cup fat free feta
1/2 cup veggies mixed with eggs

              350 cals, 7g fat, 24g carb, 46g protein

              1:30pm
              2 scoop protein shake

              180 calories, 40g protein

              4:30pm
              4oz grilled chicken
              1cup mixed veggies
              1 tblspn EVOO
              1/2 cup whole grain rice

              400 calories, 19 g fat, 31g carbs, 27g protein

              6pm
              1 lowfat cheesestick

              70 cals, 8g protein

              7-7:30 workout

              9pm
              4 oz salmon
              1 cup mixed veggies
              1 cup fruit

              223 calories, 7g fat, 17g carbs, 27g protein

              11pm
              1 cup lowfat cottage cheese

              180 cals, 24g protein, 3 g fat

Comes out to around 1400 calories

              I got my fat/carbs/protein to 26%/24%/50%

              Which ends up at 40g/86g/172g

I do that for about two weeks, and then I add in more, and ramp up to 1800 calories... and then another 2 weeks Ill ramp up again to 2200 calories, as my workouts get more and more intense.

Reed, how the hell do you survive on that little amount of food? I would be a miserable grumpy bugger to be around especially if I was training and burning calories and only eating that. Must say you breakfast looks damn fine, except the veggies and maybe swap a couple of those whites for whole eggs. I wish we could get turkey bacon here and affordably, but its impossible to find and when you do find it, its not worth buying. Weekends I have normal bacon but remove the fat.

I've already done 3 chicken breasts today (1 for lunch, 2 for dinner) and I have a half chicken already cooked in Nandos hot sauce ready to eat later this evening lol

30000-4000 calories every day over here lol. Eat big, stay big, **** big lol

The key is, is that while my calories remain low, my food intake is still medium - high. It's just that everything I'm eating is low carb and high protein.. not a ton of calories in any one meal, but I have 4-5 of them. I'm eating pretty much throughout the day.

                  Between 10am and 4pm, I had a big breakfast a protein shake, and chicken/rice/veggies...

I'd always just pop some popcorn and eat it plain. It gives a feeling of being full, soaks up the acids in your gut and have next to no actual calories.........Rockin'
