    If you mean just handspeed then work on your legs. Do squats, curls, etc. It can't hurt to have strong legs. You shouldn't lose much foot speed neither.

      ok dude here it is...yes, u can gain weight and keep your hand speed...dont know bout the others here, but i am a certified personal trainer..so i know a bit bout what i'm talken bout...As long as u keep up with your speed drills after your weight training...u will keep your speed..However, the most important part in keeping this speed whil gaining weight is to stay flexible...meaning u MUST stretch b4 and after your workouts, and stretch everyday...stretching is the key
