Boxing gear for new boxer

Just buy handwraps, mouth guard, shoes and one pair of 16 oz gloves and you're good for everything man. There's really no need to spend extra cash to have specific gloves for all facets of training, especially as a beginner.

I live with the term "You get what you pay for".
So i rather buy good stuff from the start instead of invest in cheaper gear multiple times.

Groin protection, is this something everybody use in sparring sessions ?
In my gym i havent seen anybody use it.
