u can have the same gloves for training and sparring get some 16oz gloves...far as kind i'd go with the hook and loop kind its annoying to have someone tie ur gloves all the time...mouthguard i find the singles better and usually the cheaper ones if its not an actualy made one from a dentist(those are best of course)...get handwraps i prefer the longer ones I dont go inbetween each finger tho just the middle but i like lots of support on my wrist and good amount on my knuckles as well..shoes...dont really matter i've had the low tops the high top leather ones...i do tho like the Everlast Michielin High tops I have now..headgear make sure it is competetion approved in the US it MUST say approved for USA boxing if u want to compete in amateurs..lots of brands i usually wear Everlast but def like other brands out there as well just not much experience myself with them

get yourself Everlast headgear USA approved honestly I feel that those are the best you have better visability and they feel lighter.

Gloves listen you dont have to go all out remember the gloves will eventually need to be replaced, get two sets, 14 ounce for the bags 16 for sparring, depending on your weight, if your 150 or lower use 14s, However I prefer the laces as they support the wrist area much better IMO.

I have Grant for Sparring, Reyes for the bag routine, I love the comfort of Grants though your hands feel so much better with Grants as opposed to Reyes which can feel cramped when wearing them

I agree with most of this...no doubt...cept i prefer to go 16oz all the way...I need to try a pair of Grant gloves...and again its a pain to have someone tie ur gloves..but..not too bad i'd suppose..but if you have ur wristwraps on properly u dont need the tie's for better wrist support..but to each its own no doubt

Everybody is different obviously, I had my sixteens to spar with, the 14s I used with the bag and the mitt work etc... I loved using the 14s after sparring cus my hands would feel so ****ing fast.... as the gloves obviously were lighter.

But again I used the grants and the bigger size not because that was required not at 142 14s were allowed, but I did use them to better protect from injury, such as throwing an uppercut to the body only to catch the point of the elbow with my fist that **** hurts like a mother ****er

same if you hit the head just right you can **** up your hands.....
But as far as the headgear everlast USA approved, mouthpeices well look at it this way the 2 dollar mouth peice did just the same as the 48 dollar custom so you decide.
Same with Shoes though Pony really is the best they make a cast to fit your foot

Correct me if i'm wrong, but bag gloves only comes in sizes like s/m/l/xl, they are not sized as Oz (10/12/14/16...) ?

What kind of hand wraps are you using ? I'v heard that there are the regular one and the mexican style. Is there any difference between the brands ?

            Regards / R

EDIT : I'v been starting looking for what kind of bag gloves i will buy.
I'v read that Rival and Title are good brands...

bag gloves are no different, they come in ounces. some companies only have one glove for the bag (10 oz) in different sizes but that doesnt happen too often.
