Actually just about to start at a new gym and want to get some shoes soon, but can't seem to find any in the sports stores around (olympia, modells) I mean they have just about everything else that has to do with boxing. Do most of you just order online or is there major stores out there that carry boxing shoes? Also this will be my first pair so if I have to order online should I just be getting my regular shoe size or do they run differently

Thanks for all answers
So far i have bought Mec. Hand wrap 180, Adidas Champ Speed II boxing boots and a double mouthguard from BrainPad (3XS).
I'n now try to decide a pair of bag gloves, it will be either Rivals Elite or RB50 (D30) bag gloves.
Regards/Robin
EDIT : About the shoe size (asked above this post) i e-mailed Adidas and asked, they gave my an exact answer and the boots i order onliine fitted so well!Last edited by robin_nerf; 10-06-2011, 03:46 AM.

Okey thanks !
People talking about buying a pair of cheaper gloves to start with and then buy a pair of more quality gloves, maybe that could be smart ?
I found the brand RDX, maybe this could be something ?
"RDX 16oz Leather Gel Boxing Gloves Fight,Punch Bag MMA"
38$

Thinking of getting Rival's Ultra RB1 bag gloves instead of the Elite RB20 since i think i will have problems with the double velcro if i train alone. (wonder what size will fit my normal hand).
Is it possible to use this glove as a light-sparring glove ?

Besides the bag gloves for hitting the heavy bag, what gloves should be fine for training with partner, i dont mean sparring (i know sparring gloves are used for this), i mean hitting each other gloves or mitts ?
