  • 5K A Day

Ive Been running 5K a day for the last 2 weeks and sticking to it. It doesnt hurt me the next ever but I never used to run this much. I have flat feet but recently got foot inserts and they have ridden me of nearly all my ankle pains so Ive been running every day. Are their any negative sides to running every day though. Any extra input is always appreciated.

Running 7 days a week? If so, your body needs at least 1-2 days rest.

Your muscles still need rest and time to recover.

Take a day or 2 off dude, you'll feel much better after your rest days.

You're likely to get a running related injury sooner or later if you don't rest your muscles and joints.

If you can't sit still do some time on a spin bike or go for a walk, something not so demanding.

It takes you 40 minutes to run 5k? You must be a slow fat ****.

Agreed. And 21 miles a week of slow runs? You don't need a rest day.

Takes me around 30 minutes to clock 5km, I walk like a 1km of it.

But my problem now is struggling to get up in the morning to run, I feel sluggish.

Any advise on that? Or just suck it up.
