Ive switched to looking at the chest now. Noticed im getting hit more and not pawing away their jab nearly half as much.
Not sure if its because im getting used to a new habit or not yet thou.

chest/shoulder area. but know it will all take time to get used to. don't expect to go in their and change a habit right away. eventually staring at the chest/shoulder area will become natural and through tons of sparring and fights your vision opens up. i compare it to when you first drive a car you kinda have tunnel vision but through time and experience you start seeing everything that is around as your vision opens up. same for boxing as you continue training and fighting you will become more relaxed and see things better. eyes are very deceiving and can't tell you much, instead it's body language and body cues that will hint to you what your opponent is doing. so the eyes is not a place to be looking.

like anything in life be patient and slowly things will come together, don't expect to go in there and for everything to fall in place and be easy. repitition is key, train hard and continue to get better and with time things should fall in place. best of luck as you continue to learn this beautiful sport
