I'm 176lbs 25yrs 10% body fat looking to get in my first amateur fight by the time I'm 30 but that's another topic..

Yes it's hard to make a fist in Twins but I thought it's because they are 16oz. Probably not yet burned in I have them for a few months now.

I have only tried King and Twins and Twins felt nice because you can feel it...yes it's hard to make a fist but you also feel the grab much better than on King.

For higher priced gloves I'd have to order online meaning I can't try it first...I also love my hands so much that I'll probably get a better gloves than Twins.
The pain I felt was from the Twins being hard to make a fist.. My hand would get tired just trying to clench. That + punching a heavy bag definately hurt my middle knuckle.

I had enough of this and ordered Winning MS600B Velcro gloves.

I'll use them with knuckle guards very similar as smash69 and than I'll report back...

btw which gloves did you buy after Twins?

Wow, that is guaranteed hand protection right there. A deadly combo, lol.

Let us know how it goes!

By the way, I heard that Winning's velcro version gloves don't really have good wrist support. So if I were you, I would wrap extra around the wrists and even add athletic tape around the wrists.

          Hei smash 69,

I tried your technique today and when I put my gloves off I saw that the NG-2 still moved back....like the tape didn't hold...I'll put more next time.

How about using NG2 below the wraps?

I was thinking about lace up gloves but I need a partner to fix them on my hands and I don't like that..

I bought 10oz Velcro Winnings - it was well worth the money.

Very comfortable and the quality is excellent.

I've been using them since last December and they still feel like new.

Hopefully the pain goes away when you get your new gloves!

How come you hit the heavy bag with 10oz and not feel any pain?

How long did it take for your middle knuckle to heal?

You can try putting more tape. However, for me, I don't use tape over the knuckles anymore because the tape keeps coming off when I remove the gloves (I like to re-use the tape). I just use the handwraps to wrap over the knuckle guards, two or three times, and it still holds fine. Just try different methods, with or without tape to find what works best.

That's just how good the protection of Winning gloves offer.

I've heard that the 10oz Winning offers more protection than other standard 14-16oz gloves.

                    Same here....it holds!
I just use the tape on my bear wrist and it feels great.

Can't wait to get those winnigs!

There shouldn't be any pain, even with the 10oz gloves if you're wrapping your hands properly and punching with correct technique.

The knuckle thing healed pretty quickly, it was more the Twin glove aggravating my knuckle than it being injured per say.
