But dont be fooled by cardio, they worked out that most of the time spent in the ring is done so using Anaerobic exercise (about 80-85%). so cardio may not necessarily help these situations.
first let me recommend something, jump rope is great for cardio but it really only works legs and arms as well as stamina. You would be better off doing 20 minutes of shadow boxing, not only does it work basically the whole body it adds to stamina because you are actually throwing punches and bobbing and weaving. You can jump rope all day long and help yourself out yes but it isnt going to be a big advantage in the ring especially when your throwing punches and having punches throw at you!

I've been running 4 or 5 days a week, sometimes twice a day for 4 miles. Lost 22 pounds.

thats an awful lot of weight to lose in a week especailly if you have been in shape before working out, or is this your first time working out doing cardio and your overweight by quite a lot? I am 15 pounds over weight from where I want to be at 145 and I only lost 4 pounds in 2 weeks working my ass off for atleast 2 hours a day! What exercises are you doing to lose that much weight?

There's a big difference between training and actually performing in the ring. Some people can train like champs, but just don't have it in the ring. Other people can be lazy or just train the wrong way, and STILL be champions.

Trainng hard, and RIGHT, would enhance their performance even more though, so everybody should train hard and smart, to achieve their full potential.
