  • How much Cardio do you do per day/week??

    Ive been starting to do a lot more cardio than i usually have done, and i was just wondering how many days on/off should i do cardio.. Because i know if you dont take a rest day or something your muscles wont grow because they wont have time to grow.. So how much do you do??

    I have no choice than to ride my bike 7 miles each way so i can make it to the gym and train 6 days a week. I run 3.1 miles 7 days a week at 7 am. I jump rope 10 minutes daily and thats all my cardio.

      And you definately need a day off sometimes 2 depending on how in shape you really are. Do as much as you feel you can handle on a daily basis, set a pace for yourself and set times each day for that so your always ready when the time comes make that part of your life and you will see results. Stamina is one of the most if not the most important thing to have especially when you fight. When you need that second wind to kick in and you have nothing left than boom your all winded up again, and you can take that fight to places where the other guy may not be able to go.

        cardio is the hardest exercise imo. im running/walking also everyday now. its hard but i feel its the most important.

        ya know i learn a lot from u guys, karmas to all of you in this section

          Well Cardio i do all my cardio at 4 am and i run 6 miles(2 miles running forward 1 mile sideways and 3 miles running backwards) three times a week then after that i go to the gym at 10 am

          i'm trying to lose alot of weight i use to weigh 280lbs now i'm 198lbs and i'm trying to get down to 175lbs

              i do 3 miles on MON TUES and THURS + speedpunching for about 40 mins 3x a week.. im bout to step it up soon.. this summer i went from 205 to 178 tryina get down to 170-174.. so yeah

                I run 4 miles 6 days a week

                2 days out the week I add an extra 2 mile run in at 5 am

                  I run 2 miles per day. 3-4 miles (at least trying to) on Sunday.

                    I do 20 minutes intense jump rope everyday other than wednesday when i actually go to boxing training.

                    Im stepping that up to 40 minutes soon.

                    But dont be fooled by cardio, they worked out that most of the time spent in the ring is done so using Anaerobic exercise (about 80-85%). so cardio may not necessarily help these situations.
