    SWEET DREAMS! *POW!*
That's pretty radical. Sometimes I do that too but I say stuff like "you look hot" or "your wife doesn't have to know you blew me" or "can I hold your hand after you get up?". No ****, it's just how real tough guys do it, you know, in the hood.

I can't stand watching fights when one of them are doing that. The normal low grunts and "iiish" noises don't bother me, it's these ones that are what I call "barking". Beibut Shumenov does it with every punch. Anybody who watched his last fight knows what I'm talking about. It was literally an "ARPH!!". If he threw 3 power shots in a row it was "ARPH!! ARPH!! ARPH!!" - and almost every punch Beibut throws is a power punch. He throws a lot of punches but he doesn't land very many. The crowd (and judges) are fooled by it though because he throws a ton of punches and by being so loud it makes it seem more dramatic than it really is. I think that's why he wont the rematch with Campillo.

You're right about it helping the opponents. In Shumenovs fight with Uzelkov even the commentators had commented that Uzelkov must have been figuring out Shumenov. He throws a lot but his connect percentage is actually low because his opponents can hear him coming. I honestly believe his punch connect and KO ratio would go up if he stopped barking.
It's not only a bad habit, it's also extremely annoying to watch. Devon Alexander does it too, though not as bad as Shumenov. It's the only thing I dislike about Alexander and I hope he tones it down some.

Nah seriously, i just expire when i punch which does the "Psssht" sound Tyson is most famous for.
Lets not forget the TIGER UPPERCUT and TIGER KNEE now.

But i think hes referring to the TSH noise people make when shadowboxing. If i remember right, It's to help accuracy and control.

LOL!!! Okay, you guys are funny. Here's the thing. When you punch and make any type of sound, you are letting the other guy know that you have exhaled. If the other guy is a smart experienced fighter, he will make you miss and try to attack you at the solar plexus or body as you are inhaling to knock the wind out of you. By the way, I am a coach.
