I don't about you but 15 pounds is a lot unless you are natural strong for 115.
You never know. Maybe the 17 just started boxing and has two left feet. If you feel uncomfortable the best thing to do is talk to the trainer and find more info and stuff about the opponent and the situation.

Don't take the fight, and find yourself another gym. Your trainers are NOT looking out for your best interests, if they're trying to make you fight under those kind of circumstances. I find it hard to believe it's even legal to set up a fight like that. Here in Europe, they'd never let anyone do that.

The way I see it, you ain't got nothing to lose and a lot to gain. Your the underdog here. The guy is older and bigger. That is, if you take the fight. But I gotta agree with PunchDrunk here. Just my opinion. I mean the guy they want you to fight is 15 pounds heavier that's a lot of weight in boxing. But whatever you do, you have to look out for your best interest. You gotta weigh the risk and decide if its worth taking. Good luck if you do fight him. Just keep that head moving. Move in and out, side to side, just keep moving.

Supposedly David Tua's dad made him fight other grown men barefisted at age 9 or something, on that island that they are from.
crazy simoans ,lol. i seriously wouldnt **** with tua, even if he hit on my girlfriend or something if i had a girlfriend, id just ignore him. lol my g/f would be like "alec stand up for me" id be like "fuuuuuuck no.you wouldnt want to get hit by a 100lb sledgehammer going 20 miles an hour would you????"..no woman is worth being punched by a guy like that barefisted, we're talking facial reconstructive surgery here. id just let him punk me and leave like a little *****, ill tell you right now.Last edited by Slipx; 07-08-2005, 07:28 AM.

Hey, my trainer was letting me spar and train with 210 pounders and 6 footers but they were inexperience and couldn't kill a fly with an uppercut. But I didn't like the ringing in my ear after they got better.

its not dta much about the weight. im 16, if i went against a 13 yr old who weighed 20lbs more it wudnt make a difference, i wud still punch alot harder. and ur 15lbs less against a guy 4yrs older, if this guy knows anything, he shud be able to kill u coz i was 13yrs old once and if i compared myself to now, i wud have 0% of even hurting myself right now. and imagine the confidence he will have steping in the ring. i think he will just cum at u punching
