I don't know what your eating but include lots of Lettuce, broccoli, and asparagus. That stuff will clean you right out and keep you ****ting.
Also, you can't choose where to burn fat, and anyone who says u can is bull****ting. You also got to realize that for abs to show you need to be really lean. Some people are just blessed.
I would bring the ab work up to 300 at least and make sure you change the routine constantly. Add as much core work and whatever strength training you do much sure your keeping your heart rate high.
If your losing weight though your on the right track, abs just take awhile.Comment

if u want to be strong in the stomach, try conditioning that area.
and just curious, how did you think that running had any affect at how tough your belly is? or did i misread?
btw, u dont need to have chisled abs to be able to take a punch to the bread basket. they are not quite related. only in a minor way.
edit: oh, if this is about "looking" tough, then you are better off talking to body builders. boxers is not related to bodybulding.
body building = muscle, toned and chisled for looks only.
boxing and MA = functional strength, ability, and skill.
And i didnt say running gave you abs. Running burns calories. Burning calories makes you leaner and able to see your abs more? really did i have to explain that.
And who doesn't want to look good. Trust me i can fight. I could show you my fights if you want on youtube. but pm me if you want that discussion. this thread isnt about that and i have no idea why you even brought up the whole bodybuilder boxer analogyComment

Ehh Some peopel got it harder than others.
I can just run and eat well and bam, six pack. I even had somewhat of a six pack after 6 weeks of non stop eating.
Other guys can work like crazy and still have that little bit of fat over topComment

There is most likely a genetic factor. Marciano probably trained harder than any boxer in history yet he never developed a 6 pack nor looked particularly defined or cut. I would appear to be of a similar make up.
I had my body fat taken a couple of years ago and the trainer measuring it told me that my tissue was such that my subcutaneous fat did not separate from my visceral fat or something like that (can't remember his exact words), he told me that it would be virtually impossible for me to develop a 6 pack unless I starved myself down to < 5% body fat, and even then it wouldn't look particularly well defined. He also told me that he couldn't get an accurate reading on my body fat using the forceps things whatever they are called. Told me that scales would give me a reasonable measure but that I'd have to be submerged in some sort of bath to get an accurate one.
The scales typically register me <10% and I've seen as low as 7% without developing a 6 pack. When I feel my abs they are very big and hard, just barely visible.
Chance are you are built like me (and Rocky).Comment

Well duh it doesn't matter what you look like onboxing ability. But it is nice to take your shirt off and look like you are a fighter. Boxers are known for their physiques.

nevermind. carry on.
and good luck with your "fighting."Comment

Ever think it might be as simple as your skin? Google it, I'm not being sarcastic. I think most people would be really surprised to learn how skin can vary in qualities like tightness (or lack thereof), the amount of elasticity, the subcutaneous fat it will actually hold can vary greatly from one individual to the next. OK it's boring reading really, but the differences are there. Also, there is no such thing as spot reduction. You ever see an otherwise obese person with 6 pack abs? Do all the sit-ups you like, your body loses fat evenly throughout.Comment
