  • Gosh I have horrible genes

Okay no joke. I seriously run 12-15 miles a week. box 3-5. and lift 2 days a week. for like ever and i have always been soft in the stomach area.

Bout 2 months ago. I started eating really clean and kept up this workout. I have lost maybe 10 or 15 lbs. But I still look soft. It's like i'm losing fat in my ass or something and not where i need to.

If i keep losing weight will it eventually go away? Or am I just stuck with ****ty genes and a soft body forever no much how i workotu or eat right

I never get tired in fights and Ive never lost so far. I'm just tired of people looking at me and thinking I look like nothing

Do over 600 different ab exercises a day, and post up your diet. I never ran and got abs from eating right and doing a ****load of ab exercises daily.

What kind of strength training are you doing? I had the same problem and switched my strength training to full body circuit training. Ill do 4-5 different workouts right after another and I'll do this 5 times.

Also are you doing core workouts? A lot of people neglect core workouts, but its the most important.

Also are you doing leg workouts? Keeping track of your diet?

If you know anyone who knows good kettle bell workouts I would def suggest that. An intense kettle bell workout is as good a strength builder and calorie burner as there is.

yes i am eating clean. Good carbs, nothing fried, no sugar, no white flower, good protien.

Its not that I am not losing weight. I am. But i am just like losing it from mostly everywhere but my abs area. I am not fat i just look soft.

I started about 210 and now I am about 193 area. So the weight is coming off. I just wondering if eventually i will lose fat from my abs or if some people just stay soft no matter what in certain places. Or if it just maybe my abs will be the last thing to lose fat maybe.

I do about 100-200 abs a day 5 days a week. and the p90 x core synergistics. and the plyo. Everyone says its all about burning the fat and not the ab workouts. But idk nothing works I am happy I am lighter and I feel fine in training.

I just dont have that look for someone who works out so much

You do have to burn the fat to show the abs, but you're doing enough to burn the fat in my opinion. Add more intensity, quality, and quantity to your ab routine and see if that works. Like I said, I did very little fat burning exercises when I got my abs to show, but focused a lot on ab exercises. Good luck.

if u want to be strong in the stomach, try conditioning that area.

and just curious, how did you think that running had any affect at how tough your belly is? or did i misread?

btw, u dont need to have chisled abs to be able to take a punch to the bread basket. they are not quite related. only in a minor way.

edit: oh, if this is about "looking" tough, then you are better off talking to body builders. boxers is not related to bodybulding.

body building = muscle, toned and chisled for looks only.

boxing and MA = functional strength, ability, and skill.

I don't know what your eating but include lots of Lettuce, broccoli, and asparagus. That stuff will clean you right out and keep you ****ting.

Also, you can't choose where to burn fat, and anyone who says u can is bull****ting. You also got to realize that for abs to show you need to be really lean. Some people are just blessed.

I would bring the ab work up to 300 at least and make sure you change the routine constantly. Add as much core work and whatever strength training you do much sure your keeping your heart rate high.

If your losing weight though your on the right track, abs just take awhile.

some boxers just don't have a really strong looking core

take Kelly Pavlik and Juan Diaz for example, both great boxers, but they look soft

even Marquez is sorta soft around the midriffs

you work out hard enough and it will go away, regardless.

Larry Holmes for much of his career, even prime..seemed to have a small belly tho.
