    Wide abs

    narrow abs

    Right?

thinking about it i don't think the difference is a matter of taking hits better i think that thin abs are more for speed and wide are more for power. maybe not

i doubt thats got anything to do with it, both those guys were blazing.

You turn your hips with the legs anyways not the abs.

ok ok so maybe it dosnt really have anything to do with speed but im still saying you have a more powerful punch with wider abs

as far as tenser id reccomend you look into stomach vaccumes its where you pretty much force out all the air in your stomach and hold it for like 20 seconds. this causes you to exercise the transverse abdominious muscle. this exercise helps shrink your waist line strengthen your back but for you it will help the mind muscle link and help you keep your abs tighter all the time.

as far as bigger abs id go with weighted crunches all the way 3 sets of 12 reps like 100 lbs on top of your normal ab routine.

I'm don't think its been said but what dictates [visible] abs, is bodyfat percentage. I've heard this saying, "Abs are built in the kitchen."

Well they're built in terms of strength and size in the gym no doubt. But abs/six-packs that people want are built in the kitchen. There are kids who have very visible abs at a young age and with no work at all because they have low bodyfat. Lol my friend calls em "abs out the womb."
