This is called the Miami Mile. I’m sure it’s called some other things, but that’s what our high school football coach called it. It fu#king sucks so much.
It’s exactly how it sounds. It’s 100 meter dash at around 80% - 85% max speed for 16 reps. Equals 1600 meters, which is 1 mile. Hence the name “The Miami Mile.” I think it’s a well known conditioning workout in football, but can be used for many sports and I’m wondering if it could be used in boxing.

Maybe lengthen the distance and shorten the reps for boxing to simulate the work load of a round. Maybe instead of 100 meters at 80% - 85%, do a 400 meter dash at 80% - 85% for 4 rounds. Same distance, but the workload is altered. Or maybe change the number of reps for however many rounds the bout is, but keeping the overall distance and work rate of 80% - 85% max speed.
