YES!!! i love watching these videos, it gives me tremendous confidence. Just so i can verify that there are people out there who post their "skills" for everyone to view hitting a bag or shadowboxing, or sparring, or jumping rope. I especially love it when people wear street clothes hitting a punching bag, like they don't expect to sweat. LoL. Nice gloves though. The PAC ones? They're from Japan. Quite expensive.

Good work. I'd like to see more of these videos.

wen u punch make sure that every punch cums back 2ur chin just as fast as u threw it out. and i was always told 2 pivit wit my power punches.. and a tip wen throwing the jab is to step in as u throw it it will add alot of power and snap if done correctly.. wen u hit the bag go in with a plan and work on specific combos or punches 4 now, like ur hooks i noticed that u drop that hand after u throw it and it could leav u open 4 a counter. also make sure ur on ur toes ur lead foot not so much tho.. after i watch the vid. agian ill give u more help in detail.

I have a question, how are you comfortable working out in a flanel shirt w/ jean pants/shorts?!

          1) You need to extend your punches, your throwing punches with only half of your reach and effectiveness.

          2) Protect yourself, 7:34 in the video you throw 3 consecutive hooks, and your hands are down. After you throw a hook bring that hand back up to protect your face while you throw the opposite hand, if not, your wide open, someone can block either of those hooks with a brush block (philly shell) and counter you terribly.

          3) Try to throw a little bit of footwork in there, if not your just a stationary target, your kinda like hitting a heavy bag, its hard to miss cause you arent goin anywhere!

Other then that, you look strong with a suprising amount of endurance for a beginner, well done, keep up the good work

Throwing your punches too much from the elbow. Combos look quicker that way, but they have nothing on them.

              Thanks for the advice,

really need to work on bringing my right hand back.

see what you mean with the half punches especially from my right. perhaps what reppin means by from the elbow. Im thinking i need to get used to pivoting more when i throw my power punch's.

learned that its possiable to run only on the balls of your feet and wednesday did a hilly 6 mile run like that, not only were my calfs killing me so were the muscles below my calfs and my arches i did alittle footwork in the second round but i relized 2 things, my hand instantly drops and my feet and calfs really hurt

ill make up like 5 5 hit combos and just do for a few rounds mixing them up. perhaps later in the month work them together with slips and side steps

for my right im thinking of just spending at least 1 round throwing rights and concentrate on bring it back properly every day till im more comfortable

also gonna get an everlast timer so i dont have to keep looking at the camera to see when 3 mins i up

that seems like some good things to work on for the next month

              thanks again for the advice

first of all let me say im quite impressed. for someone who hasnt had proper training u are good, talented.

as for what to work on, i dont see your feet, footwork is the key to boxing. u do move around the bag and maintain balance most of the time though so it looks good from what i see. also u think, u dont just whale away like most beginners, u move around the bag and move your head too. your chin is always down and u throw in combinations alot. u dont load up on punches but rather let them flow, very good.

on the bad stuff. u tend to throw a bit too many hooks, u should focus more on straight punches. and the punches u throw are too low, head punches should be thrown at the same height as your own head, u tend to throw at the chest. when u get in the ring and is forced to aim higher u will tire much faster. u also get a bit wide with your punches sometimes, and u dont turn into them correctly. i would like to see more extension on your straight punches, aswell as turning your hips into them more (that goes for hooks too). when watching closer i can tell your footwork is a bit of at times, mainly when it comes to distance, but thats something that takes alot of practise. moving in and out smoothly. its very good that u move your head but your technique when moving your head isnt very good. u bend over too much. imagine the bag is an oponent, u never take your eyes of your oponent. sometimes when u duck u are looking at the floor, if an oponent leaned over and hit u to the body u wouldnt see it, hense u wouldnt brace for it and it would hurt. an uppercut could be devastating.

thats something thats very important, when i just started i used to look away at times in sparring and i was punished for it. sometimes i would try to tuck my chin down so much i didnt see my oponent and what was coming at me.

if u want to compete u have to get a trainer at some point, although i see your dilemma.

as far as the eyes on the target thats going to take some time but it definately wasnt something i was looking for or even thinking about. thanks
