do whatever you can to be healthy for the fight

      Wow, ****** ***ING ADVICE.

STRONG painkillers? Are you kidding me? This is what could happen if you ask ******s online what to do when you have traumatic brain injury. ****er tells you to take STRONG PAINKILLERS.

STRONG painkillers like Aspirin can worsen the brains swelling or bleeding, its highly recommended that you not take these type of painkillers when you have a potential brain injury.

i was getting bad head aches myself a few weeks ago. I have been sparring more then usual and have been getting hit alot more by opponents well above my level. I was getting constant head aches for about a week. Once we started sparring less the head aches went away. Your head aches could be from getting hit to hard to often, have a week of sparring and see if it improves..

if you had a CONCUSSION, DO NOT SLEEP. i remember i was stunned once with a clean left hook to my chin and the headache lasted me about a week. rest, rest, rest. and if you had a concussion, try not to sleep.

youve probably just strained the muscles in the back of your neck from getting hit there. if you dont rub the tension out it will be there for a long time. relax the muscles back there and I bet your headaches go away............Rockin'

I've been dizzy for a couple days after sparring but never a long term headache which could be worse as in internal bleeding in your head. If it lasts much longer I suggest you get an MRI (or is it cat scan) if you have health insurance.

And I HIGHLY suggest that you not fight that soon after a potential brain injury. If you get caught clean while you possibly have internal bleeding or just a mild concussion, you might suddenly have a serious brain injury after the fight. You shouldn't even spar for few weeks if not for a whole month. I don't know if you are a pro or amateur but either way I highly doubt your fighting for a huge payday or trophy so I would recommend protecting your body/brain than a meager fight.
Exactly, I was going to say the same thing. Do not fight period if your suffering the symptoms of a concussion. I don't mean to scare anyone but a trainer at the gym I used to go to told me about a kid who was having headaches but didn't want to tell anyone and ended up dying after a competition.
