I've been dizzy for a couple days after sparring but never a long term headache which could be worse as in internal bleeding in your head. If it lasts much longer I suggest you get an MRI (or is it cat scan) if you have health insurance.
And I HIGHLY suggest that you not fight that soon after a potential brain injury. If you get caught clean while you possibly have internal bleeding or just a mild concussion, you might suddenly have a serious brain injury after the fight. You shouldn't even spar for few weeks if not for a whole month. I don't know if you are a pro or amateur but either way I highly doubt your fighting for a huge payday or trophy so I would recommend protecting your body/brain than a meager fight.

Since sparring on thursday I have had really bad headaches, straight after training to when I woke up, all through yesterday and today. I got hit more than usual and also on the back of the head and neck two or three times (unintentionally). It stopped me training today and yesterday and I'm getting worried cos it isn't improving, and I have a fight next saturday.
Any help as to what might be the problem or how to solve it would be much appreciated
Thanks.

how bad is the pain, like mad pain that makes your sight blurry or just a dull ache
try some strong painkillers, get the doc to prescribe you some
do whatever you can to be healthy for the fight

where do u feel the pain most,is it deep inside the head or just the scull,if u think its deep i think thats something to worry about, but most probly u got a little brain shake,i wouldn't sparr again before seeing a doctor,i hope gets better.

good answer tyrone, this is boxing.
Everyone else is right as well, diet and hydration play a big role in headaches as well as your ability to withstand punishment.
Answer - You're either hurt, dehydrated/malnourished, or both.

Thanks for the helpful answers everyone.
I sparred last night because I thought they had gone, but I got rocked badly in the last round ( like really bad, probably worst ive ever been.) but had no headache after, and I'm fine today so I'm gonna take the fight.
Thanks everyone.
