I go to a pretty poor gym where even the pros and top-10 ranked amateurs use mediocre or worn out gloves. I can't imagine walking in there with some brand new winning gloves. I showed up with my pro-mex gloves and the trainers got REALLY jealous lol.

Personally, the only way I could make the cost of Winning gloves justifiable is if I had damaged hands, but I shelled out a good amount for IMF techs to solve that problem just fine.

Was just thinking about something when posting on another forum that pertains to this conversation...

I think Winning's are probably worth the money if you're worried about your hands or joints falling apart on you.

My biggest beef with gloves is the fit.
I did martial arts for years before ever starting boxing, doing bare-knuckle bag work and sparring (only allowed minimal head contact).
I know how to throw a punch without injuring myself and I can really tell a huge difference when a glove is messing with my form.
I'm not worried so much about protecting my knuckles, wrists, or shoulders (at least not right now, maybe someday).
I want a glove that allows me to make a good fist comfortably.

Everyone's hands are shaped a little differently.
I think saying one glove or even brand of glove will fit everyone better than every other glove out there is just plain silly.
