I'm sorry, what exactly have you accomplished in boxing? Did you ever stop and think that there are people much more talented than you who would think the same way about you?

i have thought about recording me sparring though, but you'd have to be a real jackass to come into your boxing gym with a camera

Riiight.... excuses, excuses. First off, people in a boxing forum are unlikely to be child predators who roam sites/places where there are young kids. And unless you yourself is a vulnerable child why would you even care (if you are a kid then you shouldn't have said the first comment to begin with) that there are perverts who aren't even interested in you? Secondly, whats wrong with bringing a video camera to the gym? Its a highly effective tool to watch yourself and your mistakes through your own eyes, nothing else quite like it. I take it that you've never done this before since you think its embarassing in which you probably suck since you have never seen your own mistakes.

Looking good if you're a beginner. Make sure you don't become on of those "garage boxers" who "train" but really only have a bag and some gloves, always go to a boxing gym.

Loosen up your shoulders, had the same problem when I first started. If you don't loosen up your muscles are tensed, if they're tensed you actually actual muscles working against the muscles to throw a punch, slowing it down.

Speed up with your shots. By this I don't mean throw 10000 punches at once. If you're new to it, I mean continue at the pace you're doing it but snap those punches, send each punch with more speed. When you've got each individual punch fast, that's when you start building combinations.

Punch the bag, don't pad it. You hit through your target, not at it.

Good hooks on the bag, make sure your elbow isn't so close to the target though, technically you've done nothing wrong but you're at risk at elbowing them.

If i'm doing some bag work and working on my hooks, I always take it that if the bag spins around fast, then i've done the hook wrong. If the bag spins then it's because you've scuffed it and not properly hit it with your knuckle, if you hook it properly, text book, it'll just move to the side.

I'm being heavily critical here, so don't take it that you're doing badly, you're actually looking pretty good.

Some people on this forum like to make our they're god's gift, they hit like Mike Tyson, they move like Ali, they're as tough as Jack Johnson and blah blah blah. Don't listen to any critics, listen to yourself.

1year of u boxing in your basemant is a waste of time you get nothing on that except just exercise... without trainors and partners you would end with getting bad habbits that will mess up. 1month boxing in boxing gym i say is worth more than 12months boxing in your basement by yourself.

I can't go to a boxing gym every day/week, I live to far away. But I have been able to go to a gym a few times, and sparred a little.

I don't beleive what I'm doing is a waste of time. I mean watch the video. I know I'm not that good, But atleast I know some basics.

How far do you live? There are people who drive 1 or even 2 hour one way because they are that committed to training. And no, what you are doing is pretty much a waste of time if all you done in 1 whole year is get to the level you shown in your video. Sorry, just being realistic. You trainer much harder at a real boxing/fight gym. Sorry, but what your doing in your video doesn't even constitute warm up at my gym. Not even close.

What the hell do you have in the bag? Feathers.
Your throwing a weak jab at it and the bag is flying all over.
First you might want to stuff the bag to make it a little heavier, hence "heavy bag".
I would suggest a bit more aggression, head movement and combination punching. Basically hit the bag the way you would fight. Good luck.
