Sparring with heavier gloves will give you better speed and endurance when you actually go into a fight.
You bought the ****ty everlasts, everlast does sell a pro series of gloves however, they cost much more though.
I don't know what the hell you are trying to do with those little arm flurries, no power behind those at all.

First off you need to keep your chin tucked and your elbows in. When you jab you're leaving your ribs wide open because you're lifting your left arm up and then pushing the punch out. It should be one motion and your elbow should go right back by your ribs.

besides, I murder my fists with 16s as it is on the heavybag.
That heavybag is really low down. Mine used to be like that, and the stand would start rocking all over the place because there was little padding at the top of it.
I kind of took the chain and looped it around the top but still attatched it to the ring so it wouldnt slip off the back...kind of hard to explain, but surprisingly worked out pretty well, and the top of the stand doesnt have scratches either because I put some old shorts up there to cushion it.

Do yourself a favor and dont do those little "flurries" of straight punches, your form goes to **** (its not that good to begin with) and your windmilling your punches. Tighten up your straight punches....then learn the other ones. Do you go to a gym? if not you definately should so they can help you with form, Im not even that great at countering but Id have a clinic on you.
