Something that I do to practice keeping my chin down while working the bag is I'll try and hold a tennis ball under my chin. That way if you drop the ball you know your chin is too high. looks like you have some good speed to, but then again they are 12oz gloves. Practice more.

Why shouldn't you spar with 12 oz gloves? As long as you ain't a lot better than them and go all out Tyson on them then it is fine to use 12 oz gloves.

not in my experience. I think most of the friends I spar with are about on my level, and friends end up bleeding from the mouth with 16s on from a jab. just the wrong angle and the momentum from the other guy and everything, you know, but it happens sometimes and it takes the fun out of sparring for some people.

I agree, if you weigh under 160 and got tiny ****ing hands like i have theres nothing wrong with it, just as long as you relax and take it easy on the power.
14oz are cool too, anyone over 175lbs should use 16-18oz, and anyone over 190lbs 18oz. Also depends on the gloves, 12oz Winning are like pillows and i'd struggle to do any serious damage in them wheras Everlast tend to be way harder
