      Too old , nah

Not to old , I started boxing @ 26, 27 ....The physical maturation that comes with age help quite a bit , provided you can take a punch. Just remember being in "football shape " and "boxing shape" are two entirely different things. Drop the excess bulk in order to box effectively .P Johnson

If it was real football you would probbly be in better shape and more athletic than if it is gay Gridiron aka Smear the *****. In either case it is not too late to start. Some of the pro's in my gymnasium started at that age or later, although some were from other combat sports. One of them fought for a European title once, so you can get somewhere when starting late. There is one guy who had no am's and after 2 years of training he turned pro. Now he has a 17-3 record which is not bad considering he had no am's and started as an adult! If you played other sport before it means you have co-ordination and athleticism but if you were a fat blob lineman I doubt you may have needed any athleticism at all! If you were a quarterback or one of them guys who run away from the **** and cath ball to get the touchdown then yes, you will have a few tools in the bag to take with you. Give it a go son. Just do it!

i actually agree with him, gridiron is a pretty **** game, the only athletic ones are the dudes that throw or jump and run after the ball and catch it, the fat pieces of crap who run into each other are hopeless....and they stop play like every 10 seconds wtf is that?

soccer would put you in better stead to start boxing, hes right

HA, 22? no sweat. If your entertaining thoughts of turning pro sometime
                1) your pretty much at your physical peak now so that'll help
                2) your young so you have alot of time & energy to train
                3) REAL discipline usually starts now so your training will probability be better than a 16 year old punks which = better results in less time.

I started at 21 and power, speed and stamina wise I dominate, Im pretty skilled but thats pretty much all I have to work on which I learn quick because Im not as "******" or "stubborn" as I was when I was younger.

Lol did some meatheads feelings get hurt? Please you ******* stop play every 10 seconds to go have a water break. Football players are 20% athelete, 60% meathead 20% steroids. Leave america for once in your life redneck.
