    that guy wouldn't hit you...

he'd use like two fingers under your collarbone as you come in and put you out.

he probably is capable of the reknown Death Touch

And u know why you see those videos of those masters apparently knocking their students over or out cold without touching them etc? its because the how respect system and concept of saving face works, the whole being humble thing in Asian ways of doing things. You dont question your master, imagine if you were the only student not playing the game and rolling over like the rest!

For these reasons alot of these old supposed masters have more respect for their fighting ability than they deserve.

that oldfrail man u speak of is ****ing respected by everyone! my teachers teacher goes about 240 lbs, and he respected him. more like that old frail guy would smash your teeth in before u could move. and i say this having experience with people one person removed from him. my system is very close to his. that old guy, chen pan ling, was supposedly an encyclopedia of fighting knowledge. he isn't known for just talking. back in the 1800's or early 1900's, u couldn't just talk about fighting and teach without being challenged and questioned on your abilities. a bit different than it is here in america right now.

I´ll battle ya in break dancing grasshopper, that old dude in your sig looks like maybe he could electric boogaloo so who knows. If ya can box just say so.
ya i can box man. what do u think old school trained martial artists do? slap fight? we spar full contact. my teacher has boxing training too btw.

Meaning that in all honesty i think most traditional martial arts are bull****, meaning they are no good in a real fight. Fancy stances and chi can't help you agaisnt a hard punch to the face.

But then again the only traditional martial arts i ever practiced were tae kwon do and karate as a kid.

Rickson Gracie once said something that i think is very true.:

"You take a black belt, punch him in the face once and he becomes a brown belt, punch him again and is becomes a purple belt..."

Most traditional martial arts don't hold up in a real fight scenario unless the person you are fighting use the same style and rules as you.

I know you are going to take what i said as an insult but don't, prove me wrong instead, show me videos, links proofs.

yes, key word here - *most*

unfortunately u r right in that many chinese, japanese, and korean martial arts teachers in america especially have not ever fought anyone or don't spar realistically if at all.

but there are many out there thst do and are the genuine article. why don't u just take a look at my profile, read my blogs and such. time cartmell is one guy from a side of my lineage who,not only has fought in various avenues, but is well respected in both traditional and modern mma communities. he is an expert in xy and bgz, and has a black belt in BJJ. also, i believe trains an mma team.

his main teacher in traditional arts won at least 3 full contact national tournaments. and having played with him on numerous occasions, i will back him that he is the real deal. as real as it gets. he is an MA bro of my teach.

one guy i linked to has his official fight results on his website. but that does not tell even half the story. he is so well known there is a comic made based on him. he is another bro of my teach - meaning they trained from same teacher, roughly in same generation, or were literally classmates.

i have met and known many people who have the goods in various arts. do people here really think boxing is the only legit form of fighting or that other arts do not study punching? my main art studies it in depth.

now u said your only real experience came from karate and tae kwon do. that obviously clouds your perception. when u fight, u don't jump into a stance!!! that is one of the very first things i learned in CMA. anyone who teaches in such a rigid manner and tells u to fight like that has likely never fought. real teacher know difference between principal and technique or function and form. if u met me and i showed u some things u would not have same opinion. and i don't even mean fighting, but showng u the hows and whys. they are not taught very well because they are not always known.

blame the ****s that give a bad image to the art, not the art itself.

                  and no, i didn't diss u did i?

Like that video you posted of that other dude taking on half assed attempts by students.

I havent trained in Martial arts, I had a Japanese girlfriend, worked and lived with Chinese restaurant owners, Chinese-Malaysian girlfriend, taught English in Asia, studied international business and the impact of culture on doing business.

                      yeah, but are u accepted?

anyways, point here is do not talk about what u do not know. that little dude would throw u around like a a 5 year old. maybe u need to go play with some people who train the traditional way. if u are so kind enough to tell me what city u live in, i may be able to find a reputable group or school that u can go to and ask any questions u like. including telling them their **** does not work or they do not fight.

sounds like u need a lesson to me.
