i think the double end bag will improve your speed as a whole. it helps with coordination and reaction time, thus making you faster. also it helps with slippin and emulates an opponent throwing punches back at you. of course training harder and lots of shadow boxing.

let them flow dnt put power in2 every punch! clap pressups ,weighted gloves for shadow boxing, run with wrist weights and throw flurries underneath a swimming pool! also lightweights high reps if weight training is ur thing!

of course you can devolp speed, are you saying the fastest boxers were born with their speed? No, they devoleped what they alrdey had,

of course some of these methods work, its common sense that if you do somthing you will improve, if anything just the strantgh that will build up in the arms will give some speed,

thanks for the tiome i will try a few
i think genes have a lot to do with speed. if u really can train speed then everyone would be as fast as roy jones jr.

Everyone keeps mentioning that speed is a god given talent. and i do agree however, how many people actually reach their potential? im willing to bet very few. doing these drills will help you reach that point, and will prolly improve your speed and fluidity over many years. so in short, never neglect speed improvement drills, because it is highly unlikely you have reached your genetic limit.

from much boxing and martial arts history i have read - including fighting manuals, training guides, biographies, etc...

many people studied how they could become faster. many were not very fast at all before the study of that factor in their craft i found.

that's just the pattern that stands out.

and btw, speed is hardly anything important at all to the people who went from sick to more than healthy after taking up some kind of fighting art.
