Once I commit to moving, I have a hell of a time uncommitting. This means that when I anticipate, I'm This fear of anticipation leads to its opposite -- hesitation -- which is just as painful if not moreso.

To counter this, I fight close -- I'm told fighting me is like "a fistfight in a phone booth" -- and try to keep some kind of contact with my opponent: a shoulder, a glove on his glove, anything so that I can feel him move. Dancer's instincts, I guess; if I can feel which way he's going, I'm much more fluid than if I'm watching him. It's almost like I can see him better when I can't see him at all.
Hey maybe you are landing your heel down first when you move, this would cause you not being able to change direction.

My main problem is inconsistency, especially in regards to slipping. It's like sometimes when I spar I just forget to do it, as a result coming predictable. When I do slip I then start using the angles and turning the opponent, I don't know what it is as I really need to sort it out. I've started shadow boxing for 15 mins before training in front of a mirror practising the slips and weaves, and so far its helpingit a lot, but really need that consistency.

I have to sustain myself through out a fight and not exert all my energy in the 1st min of the fight by trying to KO my opponent... I also need to learn to use eye contact in the ring in order to think because other wise i just fight no thoughts just attack. I need to work on keeping my hands up which is the biggest key to it all... I also need to throw the right uppercut off the left straight!

My weaknesses are im far too static and my general stategy is to out power my opponents (not always the best idea). Also i tend to lean over my straight punches when i get tired. I think those are my main weaknesses, but i probably have many more.

I tend to neglect defense, Swing wildly with my left hook, Drop my left hand, Get hit with the right hand, Fight on the inside when i should be fighting on the outside, fight on the outside when i should be on the inside, Stop my headmovement once i get over confident.

              1st post....

my weakness probably has to be fully extending my jab, keeping the hook very tight, and sometimes my coach tells me i like to get inside too much and not work my way in to land some shots and slip out to land some more shots, i'll probably find some more things as my training gets tougher
