You also have to look at quality of calories. calories from vegatables and fruits, especially organic, are packed with vitamins and minerals, hence more energy to increase your activity. Also, fruits and veggies are packed with ruf***e, which your body actually burns calories trying to process. Eat more vegatables than fruits, cuz fruits have sugar, eat some other fiber rich foods (oats, clif bars), cuz fiber will help you naturally keep weight off, and lean meats.

At your weight, and with what you want to do, i would not go below 2200 - 2500 calories a day, esp. if you are working out. You will crash otherwise. The weight will come off faster than you think. This is the healthiest way to lose the weight. If overall health is not your concern, which for some guys its not, and you only want to lose a lot of weight then look up the Stillman Diet.
Problem is my activity/work out level is low.....I mean I do walk about a mile-mile and a half everyday out of necessity but as far as weight lifting, pushups, and running I'm still trying to fit it into my schedule....Which is why I cut back on food ya know? If your not working can't eat the same as if you are but I could be wrong....

you're right, you need to eat less. 2000 per day would be good. losing weight just by changin what you're eating is very hard though. wont come off nearly as fast if you worked out and didnt diet.

Answer me this, I've been watching what I've been eating yet I don't really feel like I am...

          Today:

          Breakfast-4 waffles with syrup
          4 waffles
          200 Calories/ 50 Calories from fat (for 2 waffles) x 2 =400 (100 fat calories)

1/4 cup of syrup (didn't have that much but am factoring it because I didn't measure how much I did have) 220 Calories

          Lunch
2 hotdogs on white bread with alittle bit of ketchup
          Hotdogs- 170 x 2 = 340
White Bread- 120 (for 2 pieces) 10 Calories from fat
Ketcup- 15 calories (for more then I had)

          dinner-
I had to have something quick so I had one of those little hot pocket pot pies
          350 Calories (150 from fat)

          add that up
          Waffles 400
          Syrup 220
          Hotdogs 340
          Bread 120
          Ketchup 15
          Potpie thing 350

          total calories- 1445

I was drinking Iced tea today and guestimate I drank about quart so thats like 320 calories

so thats a total of 1750

I'm staying under 2000 calories a day but even with these foods will it prevent me from losing weight....I mean I'm not eating large amounts of these foods...

I guess what I'm asking am I focusing to much on calories...I mean I take into consideration Proteins, fiber, and that but I don't really look at grams of fat...should I pay more attention to that...

As far as excercise go, I'm beginning to run, not sure the distance but I'll tell you if I ever get around to measuring it...I do situps (sets of 10), but alot more Pushups (sets of 15)/ Incline Pushups (sets of 10-15) ...and do alittle big of weight training (mostly upperbody)

I'm going to incorporate in Jump Rope and sparring

the amount off kcalories are ok, but the foods and the nutritional values off off the food is NOT.

cut the waffles and have a bowl off oaths with skimmed milk and maybe some bana ore raisin if you think the taste is to boring. some eggs would do good to too.

it should be possibel to skip the hotdogs for some chicken/tuna and pasta salad(well atleast they sell them in kiosk here).

dont know the nutrition vslue off pot pie, but 150 from fat is a bit much.

bout the exercise part, is it possibel for you to get out off bed 30min earlier and gor for a walk ore a run, it would help a lot.

don't put ketchup on hot dogs - ketchup is mostly sugar, the pancake syrup is also killing u, i know it tastes good but it's refined sugar. foods that have complex carbs are beter than anything that has sugar in it. santa Klaus (leff's real name) knows what he's talking about

switch the white bread to wholemeal, tastes better and is better for you. Try exercising it is much healthier for you to exercise so you increase muscular endurance and your cardiovascular system improves. Otherwise you will just lose weight and remain physically the same if you get what i mean. Just walk 30mins+ a day and not strolling get your ass into gear and push yourself if you can't run, but you have to do exercise otherwise your metabolism isn't going to be running near well enough to lose the weight but instead remain lazy and just keep converting fat from all those refined carbs that you have been eating.

I have eggwhites in the morning with 1 egg with a yolk so i get carbs from that and then i train mid afternoon and then have a protein shake after training. It takes a couple of weeks for your body to get used to eating like this but after that its fine. Speeds up your metabolism aswell because you're constantly feeding your body so fat just falls off.

Real maple syrup is actually full of a ton of vitamins and minerals, if you buy the real kind, and not melted brown sugar. the stuff that comes from real maple trees is extremely nutritous. Aunt jemima and log cabin syrup are crap, though.

I appreciate everyones comments I really do....let me tell you before I continue that that was sort of a cheat day...I normally don't have any of those foods(besides the white bread, haven't started buying Whole Wheat, last time at the store wasn't thinking, force of habit) ...

what i usually eat is things like Tuna, Soups, I do eat alot of fruit, and a few varied other things

My normal breakfast is a nutrigrain bar and a glass of milk (little time for big breakfast) if I have the time I will normally eat Oatmeal or a bowl of cold cereal..

If I eat lunch its usually a sandwich and/or fruit

Dinner is usually Soup or a meat, or some sort of Sandwich

I appreciate all your advice and am listening and trying to incorporate it all, unfortunately right now my whole eating situation is below what I would want it....but I'm trying

Let me say what is usually stock piled in my house is Tuna (loved tuna for awhile), Soup, always have oatmeal, always have tea, and Peanut Butter, sometimes Jelly....Thats not only what I have but it is always what I have...
