The safest way to lose weight without killing yourself is to go VEGETARIAN or SEMI-VEGETARIAN for about two weeks out. You'll lose weight without getting weak. The key is to keep PROTEIN FORITIFIED foods in your diet such as nuts (coconut milk is great too). CASHEWS, ALMONDS (if no allergies). Big SALADS with lots of dark GREENS (again protein) and nuts on it...Lots of FRUIT (fruits are great because you lose weight but you maintain a good ph balance plus organic water intake)....If you got a month to lose, you need to ease into the VEGGIE diet by the 3rd week and keep it up. In fact, in some cases (depending on how the weight is dropping) you can still eat meat like FISH. You have to monitor it....This way is safer and you wont starve yourself and be weak tryna make weight. At the least you wont be that far off by fight day.

I would have to disagree. Your bodies systems are very fine tuned and will always keeps homeostasis. If your Ph level fluctuated you'de be in big trouble. Your diet will not affect your blood Ph on any level other than miniscule.
Water is not organic.

Actually your body doesn't ALWAYS keep HOMEOSTASIS there's a constant battle going in your body the same as is going on in the UNIVERSE/PLANET on which it is modeled. Thus, you can get SLIGHTLY out of that HOMEOSTATIC balance and get DIS-EASE, RASHES and the like (ACNE, PSORIASIS, ECZEMA). In fact, it's because your bodies are indeed SO FINED TUNE as you say, that it notices that slight IMBALANCE and eliminates the toxins causing it thru the skin, producing said rashes, etc...Your PH fluctuates but not to the extent you may think Im alluding to BUT enuff so that your ACID/ALKALINE balance gets enuff out of wack to produce diseases. It's very common. So not enuff for BIG TROUBLE, as you mentioned but for SMALL problems but worrisome enuff to keep you sick, ill, etc...If it goes on too long you will definitely be in BIG trouble....Furthermore, everything you ingest into your body affects your BLOOD whether it's more likely FOOD or CHEMICALS. Just like you cant put just anything into your gasoline tank. Additionally, whether you realize it or not--it only takes a MINISCULE deviation to produce sickness in your body's delicate balance after fueling it incorrectly over a period of time.
As far as the ORGANICNESS (yes, that's a word Im using...lol) of WATER, not to split hairs, ORGANIC simply is about the water being INDIGENOUS to the fruit which contains it NATURALLY such as ORANGES, WATERMELON, APPLES, etc...Moreover, the water is truly essential since way too many boxers eat sweets and are constantly DEHYDRATED in their attempts to pare down to size...
However, the technique is sound and SAFE and I've used and MONITORED it with lots of success with fighters over the last 25 years.
